I don't think its right to judge rvd on him choosing not to go to iraq. IT was a choice and we should respect it. Im sure he didnt go because he does not care, im sure he just does not feel safe liek jayman said. maybe his wife begs him not to go? Im not so sure if I would go. Its a scary place.

I do look at RVD in a negative light for not going to Iraq. There is a very small possibility than any danger would come to him. The Armed Forces make sure of that. The event is held in a fairly safe place.

I think RVD has every right not to go. If he doesn't support the war, then he shouldn't suppor the war. as far as respecting the troops he can still respect them without having to go there in support. Supporting and respecting are 2 different things.

No need for three 'world' titles. One for sd, raw and ecw. Its supposed to mean your the best in the world, or rather company but when their are three it defeats the purpose and makes the title meningless.

There are a lot of people who don't support the War that go over and entertain the troops.

It is all about the troops.

yeah, but for the people who dont we shouldnt look down on them. they have that choice. If they choose not to just because they dont support it, then yeah, thats bad, but if it is for own personal reasons, then im fine with that.

I can some what agree with you on the subject of having to many championships. However, you can't possibly think the NWA title is worth more than the WWE championship? I mean when a former superstar from WWE signs(Cage and Angle) on with TNA one of the clauses in their contract is: "They will have a NWA title reign." Also doesn't the fact that Jarrett's constant hogging of the title hasn't diminished the value either?

I think if he wasn't going for personal reasons he could have at least write something voicing his support for the troops and what not.

I think he has his reasons for not going over and it could be, its a dangerous place and he isn't a soldier and he has a family to think about back home. I don't disrespect him for not going because I wouldn't have gone either.

Its also not public knowledge that he didn't want to go either, which is why he didn't write anything as it was sources leaking out the information. I don't think he has to tell the public anything as to why he didn't want to go.

This is a very admirable post. However the flip is true, by not going you are not disrespecting troops just making a political decision.

RVD is entitled to his view and his decisions, that is the fundemental meaning of the first amendment. Don't hate a guy for being against war.

Just want to add to this in a similar posistion I'd jump at the chance to support troops regardless of supporting (which I do) the war or not. However I really believe that people who do not support this action should be allowed to protest it in any way they choose.
I had a sig, once.
