Rep Power: 56 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | BG James gets carried away Following the rant by BG James at the Turning Point PPV this past Sunday, which saw James use some unscripted language, as soon as he got backstage he was overheard saying something along the lines of quote, "Go ahead, fine me, I got carried away." James was reportedly given a list of around eight bullet point items to hit during his promo, but the exact wording wasn't scripted. Everyone backstage was said to be gathered around the monitors watching and listening to what he was going to say in the promo. Many in TNA are keeping an eye on TNA President Dixie Carter to see how she reacts to this angle as it will be her first time getting the full court legal press from WWE. Basically, many are wondering if she will speak up and prefer to stop the angle in favor of more family-friendly non-controversial angles for the TNA product.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Am I the only one who thinks this is not a good angle? It makes TNA look like a indy fed, and makes Brian James and Monty Sopp just look bitter that they got fired by WWE. |

Rep Power: 56 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It doesnt make them look bitter and to me it seems that only people who watch wwe a lot think its bad, cause its negative towards wwe. remember back in 98(ish) vince did pretty much the same thing to wcw and look where wcw is now. Are you saying wwe looked like an indie fed then?

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | It's just the way they are doing it. DX did it in a funny and entertaining way. What these two are doing seems like going up a girlfriend who dumped you and yelling about her being a slut (i.e. it just makes them look like fools). |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | I doubt it. These two were bitching about WWE even before DX reformed, they just don't like that WWE doesn't want them anymore. I'm sure they would both would love for WWE to sign them again so they can join the big leagues again. |

Rep Power: 94 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | From TnA's point of view, I can't see what it's meant to do or achieve. The two groups aren't in a "war", their shows aren't on at competing times, so that's what makes this very different to the ol' DX ratings war. Because of the huge disparity in company sizes it comes off as sounding cheap. A sense of humour is a very personal thing though, so I won't touch that part of it, some may find it funny, others wont. The bottom line about it (for me) is where can it go? This is wrestling...so where is the PPV match to blow off something they're devoting so much TV time to? With WWE certainly not responding, where does this end up? Trying to be creative, it needs someone to come in to "represent" the other side in some way (as Hall & Nash were "representing" the WWE side with nWo). Is there anyone currently in TnA that has some known affection toward WWE/Michaels/Hunter/Vince? The only way I can imagine any sort of pay off to this is if Waltman and Chyna show up to face off over the DX put downs. Otherwise, this is just debatable humour which goes nowhere and does nothing ratings wise for the company except eat up a huge amount of TV that they frankly can't spare for this stuff.

Rep Power: 78 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree with Tyler here. I watch both TNA and WWE right now and I don't have a preference to either, so save that part of the argument for someone else. As Tyler has said, when does this stop? WWE isn't going to respond, from a business standpoint they'd be foolish to do so. Why give TNA free publicity? This just has no direction. James and Sopp come out week after week and bash D-X. While it may have been funny a few times, I think it's becoming very repetitive and there's no way to refresh the angle. There's no possibility for a payoff.

Rep Power: 24 ![]() ![]() | Yes, and I too watch both and don't mark out for either. as I said in a previous thread... "If Vince responds, WWE will win in the end. They have the ratings, the money, and the exposure. TNA who? TNA would need big money to ever compete with WWE. That is all it boils down too. Vince Ignores and no one will ever care or remember any of this. Vince responds and WWE wins in the long run, unless it somehow TNA gets them someone to back them financially." Quote:

Rep Power: 56 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i dont think anyone in wrestling likes them for who they are, while many respect them noone would do anything to defend them. why? do you think leveque would actually take the time out of lifting weights to acknowledge someon not related to him doing something for him? no way he would so noone would waste their time defending them.
