Rep Power: 6 | Still never understood why TNA stopped pushing Brown all of a sudden. He was getting over well as a face and was chasing Jarrett for the title, then they turned him heel and had him "protect" Jarrett, all the while slowly teasing a face-turn to setup a match between the two. Then he disappeared for a while and after that brief run with Samoa Joe and Rhyno, never was used on TV. I know TNA wanted him to work indy dates to improve his in-ring skills, but if used in short matches, ala Goldberg, I thought Brown was fine in-ring.
I think he'll do well in WWE if given the opportunity. | | |

Rep Power: 5 | He will get over better in WWE then TNA. I think Brown would have gotten the title shot if Christian didn't come over.
I think he was unhappy how he was being used and he wanted a new contract which probably payed more. | | March 28th: Ring of Honor in Orlando, FL, March 29th: WWE Hall of Fame in Orlando, FL, March 30th: WWE Wrestlemania XXIV in Orlando, FL

Rep Power: 19 | An update on wwe.com:
When former NFL star Monty Brown explodes into action for the first time in a WWE ring, it will be the fulfillment of one of two very vast childhood dreams.
“I had two dreams as a kid,” Brown told WWE.com. “One was to become a professional football player; the other was to become a WWE Superstar. How many people can say they actually lived out both dreams?”
For someone who once crafted their own WWE Championship in junior high school, Brown claimed that signing with WWE is something he swore he would accomplish some day.
“[My classmates and I] made what we called the Wood Class Championship,” Brown reflected. “I still have that belt to this day. I felt that one day I would be working for this company.”
Growing up in a bedroom with wall-to-wall wrestling legends, Brown said that he engulfed his room with posters of greats such as Ricky Steamboat, Mike Rotundo and Harley Race – on one wall. On a separate wall, all to himself was the 16-time World Champion Ric Flair, a man Brown could potentially be meeting one-on-one once he begins his WWE career.
“[In WWE], the competition is deep,” admitted Brown. “But, if you don’t want to be involved with the best on the planet and be involved in a competitive atmosphere, you don’t do what you do. You choose to do something else.”
The thick-framed Brown is no stranger to competition. A collegiate All-American and also former NFL linebacker for both the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots, Brown has competed in Super Bowl games for both franchises.
Following his football career, Brown trained extensively towards his goal of reaching WWE. Under the guidance of the former WWE Superstar Dan Severn and the Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac Sabu, Brown is prepared to blast through Raw, SmackDown or ECW with his unique style.
“This is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time,” Brown claimed. “I’m pretty much going to bring a no-nonsense, hard-hitting, take-no-prisoners linebacker style with just a straight-ahead, destroyer-type mentality.”
Despite his confidence in his abilities, Brown said that before he makes his in-ring debut, he will continue to eat, breathe and sleep this business as he closely studies tape after tape of WWE action with his notebook in hand.
“Coming to WWE is a definite blessing and a privilege,” he said. “To come and work for the Mecca of all Meccas, I’m just anxious to start. I’m looking forward to getting in the mix and being part of the WWE family,” Brown added.
“Monty Brown is definitely on his way.” | Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last. |
