Kurt Angle Interested in MMA

According to Kurt Angle's official website (www.kurtanglewwe.com), Kurt may indeed be set to enter MMA. This letter was posted on his website(http://www.kurtanglewwe.com/letter2.pdf):

Dear Angle Friends and Fans,
Kurt "The Machine" Angle wants to truly thank everyone for their concerns and best regards to his recovery and
wellness. Kurt continues to read your kind messages and feels truly blessed to have your support, as your well
wishes continue to strengthen him both mentally and physically. He also apologizes as he would love to reply to
everyone but unfortunately due to timing with family, his rehabilitation, training and business leaves very little time
to converse.
Kurt wants me to update you, he's happy to express his physical condition is fastly rebounding. When Kurt left WWE he was beaten and battered down at a mirror 220. Over the past many weeks with the right rest, a wonderful wife
who is preparing the ideal diet, daily physically therapy, and back to some good strength training we are happy to
report he's up to a solid 240 with about 85% full flexibility.....
As you may have seen or heard the latest news. Kurt Angle is a huge fan of all MMA programs (K1, UFC, Pride, WEC,
and IFL to name a few) this former Olympic Gold Medalist and Extreme Athlete has the heart and deep driven
passion to show he's the best of the best. Angle has his sight on a full physical recovery and plans a day to put it all
on the line....Real Fighter magazine will have the exclusive.....www.realfightmag.com

No no no no no no no!

You were released to get healthy. Do it, Mr. Angle
I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I really hope Angle doesn't go this route. While he'd make big money in MMA, I'd be afraid for his safety, considering his injuries.

Looks like Kurt is serious about doing MMA. On his manager's website www.davidhawk.com, it states that Angle has retired from wrestling.

I don't understand why he's doing this. Yes, MMA is less taxing on your body than taking bumps 4 days a week in a wrestling ring, BUT, Angle's joints and muscles will take a pounding in MMA training. He does have a wrestling background which helps, but I doubt he has the flexibility and agility that he had before all of his injuries in WWE caught up with him.

He'd need some serious work on his stand-up game and learning submissions isn't something that can be done overnight.

If he trains for a year and then competes in MMA, I wouldn't have a problem with that. But, if he's going to fight the moment after his 90-day no compete expires, he won't do well...unless he signs with a promotion like K-1 or Pride that will feed him chumps and just pay him to basically show up.

I'm still very bothered by this decision. Obviously, I'm not Kurt Angle and only he can decide what is best for him, but if I were in his shoes, I would first focus on getting off painkillers (which, if he takes MMA seriously he could easily slip back into taking b/c of the training) and spending time with my family.

I hope Angle isn't doing this just so he doesn't have to get cleaned up.

Also, Angle's managers website is www.davehawk.com, not www.davidhawk.com
