As first reported on WWE Mobile Alerts, Bobby Lashley is unable to compete in this Sunday's Great American Bash. WWE physician Dr. Ferdinand Rios told WWE.com, "During his annual exam, Bobby Lashley was found to have elevated enzymes of the liver; therefore, he is not cleared to wrestle until further evaluation."
As a result of this breaking news, the Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship at The Great American Bash has changed. U.S. Champion Finlay will now defend the gold against William Regal in a one-on-one match.

If they're allowed to go at it old school brutally stiff for a decent length of time Regal and Finlay could be excellent, though it has no logic in being the match for the PPV.
Matt Hardy is without a match due to whole Ken Kennedy thing. Would have been more logical to have him face off with Finlay instead. Run an angle at the start of the PPV to explain it, shouldn't need a lot of brain power since Finlay is so old school. He cuts a mean promo so have him go out there to start the PPV and trash internet fans and wrestlers that have fans on internet sites. Cue Matt coming to their defence and a (semi) logical instant match
They must have known about this earlier, and maybe that's why they took the title off him. I bet they were going to pull an injury angle, but when they found out Henry was out, they probably played it as long as they could and see if he could wrestle.
Hopefully Lashley isn't going to be out for too long. I was actually looking forward to seeing him wrestle. Regal and Finaly won't let the side down.

I still hate Lashley myself. I'm just bored by him. It's a personal problem I guess. I was uninterested in this match as it was. I don't want to see Finlay v. Lashley anymore.

It doesn't make that much sense to have Finlay cut a promo adressing the internet fans :ermm:.
How about this angle: Finlay comes out and trashes Lashley for not being tough enough to compete and hide behind a *minor* medical condition. From there he goes on stating he would be in the main event if not had been for this guy who blindsided him in the battle royal to steal his opportunity. A quick recap of the footage, enter matt hardy and the match is on.
I know it's not 5 stars booking but this is really a cursed PPV as some of you already mentioned.
I think DD has a point. Most of us were wondering why they had Lashley lose the belt to Finlay last week, but if they knew about this then I can see the logic in having him lose the belt early.
This sucks for SD though since they are already suffering a lack of high level talent. Bulldog has a point in that if they let this be a old school match(like they did for Finlay/Benoit) then this could still be a good match.
