RVD Suspended

From WWE.com(while, the ECW page on WWE.com):

Moments after screwing Rob Van Dam out of the ECW Championship, Paul Heyman gave the following statement to ECW.com:

“As of this moment, Rob Van Dam has been suspended for 30 days.”

I wish I could say I was surprised by this.

Well, I thought it'd be for two months so I guess he got off light.. Anyway, I think they'll make it a Heyman vs. RVD thing when he comes back.. mayb even have RVD go over Big Show to win the title back, you never know.. Look how they are rewarding Orton..

I still think it was dumb to give it to Show though, and I still think Sabu might get released..

That is not really that bad.

And why would the release Sabu when his offense was minor compared to RVD's? The only think Sabu had was pain killers. RVD had marijuana.

Park the old car that I love the best
Inspections due and it won't pass the test
Funny how I have to put it to rest
And someday I will join it.

RVD had marijuna and Vicodin(prescription pain killers). Sabu had drug paraphernalia and nine pills that have not been identified but have been confirmed as a controlled substance, so his offense isn't really any more minor. Sabu has a greater chance of being fired.

Sabu also has more of a chance of getting fired just because he's not as high up the card as RVD. That's just the way of the world, Vince may want to punish someone more and it'll more likely be Sabu.

For example, for the curtain call at MSG 10 years back who got punished more, Hunter or Shawn? Well, Hunter had his KoTR win he was getting taken away and put in feuds with Dumpster Droese and Henry Goddwin and Shawn kept the World Title and main events.

*Edit* Anyone else thinking as I suspiciously do that, Vince was pissed about the direction of ECW last week, he's decided to kill it and so planted the drugs on RVD!!!! Just me then.

I say that, in responce, anyone who has ever smoked a doobie or popped a pain-killer (for recreational purposes) should "suspend" the WWE until RVD returns. Just stop watching. I know, for most fans, it would be easier to quit smoking than it would to quit watching WWE. But it would sure send a message to Vince - and his advertisers - about how the "real world" works.
The thing that pisses me off is that a drunken slob like Austin was still around for years after he lost the ability to do anything in the ring except swill beer and give people Stunners.
It'll be sad to see Sabu go - he's the reason I was so excited about the return of ECW, in the first place.

Yeah but zapp, what you fail to realize is that WWE has a drug policy in place now that they are actually following and they are a publicly shared company with stockholders who don't want to hear about their wrestlers being potheads and they would want them to be punished for it. I think they are following through on the drug policy then. Back in Austin day, WWE was still privately own until the end of his run and I don't think drinking alcohol is against the drug policy anyways so.

March 28th: Ring of Honor in Orlando, FL, March 29th: WWE Hall of Fame in Orlando, FL, March 30th: WWE Wrestlemania XXIV in Orlando, FL
April 13th: TNA Lockdown from Lowell, MA

Yup that is a good point. WWE answers to it's share holders now. No one would invest in a company knowing that most of it's employees are all doped up. It's all about getting the $$$s

Edge will rise again...

Yes his offense is more minor. RVD actually had illegal drugs. Sabu just had pills that he didn't have a prescription for. That is a BIG difference.
