WWF back??

WWE is close to finalizing 'World Wrestling Federation' trademark. It's going through the'opposition' phase.

Anybody know what this means??? Is this just they'll be able to use World Wrestling Federation or Will they acutally be able to use WWF again??? I think that'd be awesome if they could use WWF again, all the old WWF logos wouldnt have to be blured out of the old tapes and everything.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's so they can leave the words on classic DVDs without having to block them out.. I still don't think they'll be able to het the name back or clear the logos.. but I'm just speculating.

Changing it back to WWF would be a good thing, cause it seems like everybody says WWF and im tired of saying its WWE. :dead:

I agree with Blitz, it is probably just so they won't have to blur it out on dvd's and games.

I don't think Vinnic Mac would change it back if he could.

why not? He was fighting hard for it not to get changed so if he could change it back, why not change it?

They've already been using "World Wrestling Federation" on DVDs, it's "WWF" that they can't use. I don't see how they could use that either unless they reach some kind of deal with the World Wildlife Fund.

I'm used to the WWE name now though, so either name would be fine for me. It would be nice if they were able to show footage from before May 2002 without having to dub out "WWF" or blur the scratch logo.
Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Because they have capitalized and stressed on Sports Entertainment since they changed. I don't think they will go back.

And I don't think the Work Wildlife Fund will budge either.

I think they only had to blur out the attitude WWF logo because I remember that the old WWF logo was able to be used.
