The ECW show, which will air nationally at 10 p.m. ET, was scheduled to air live but the decision has been made today to tape the show before Smackdown and air it on tape delay. The word I got is that they are doing it to make sure that the initial broadcast is a clean airing, with no glitches.
Hopefully this'll be only for this week, but I think it'll take a bit of gloss off the first broadcast since it won't have the feel of anything can happen since it's taped and they can edit all the mistakes out.
Also woth noting if you're going to watch the show to watch out for the spoilers because I'm sure there'll be some floating around before the show airs on TV.
Me I'm going to have to download it tomorrow since Sky won't be showing it here in the UK untill Sunday... and I'm in work then so i'll miss it.
I really hope this is just for this week, part of the reason SmackDown doesn't feel as exciting as Raw is because it's taped.

I really don't see this as that big of a deal. The problem with Smackdown and to a certain extent TNA Impact is that they are taped several days, and in TNA's case weeks in advance of their actual broadcast. With only a couple hours between the tapings and broadcast I really don't think that people just reading the spoilers and skipping the show will be that big a deal. That being said, I would prefer a live ECW broadcast but it won't be anywhere near as bad as the delay between Smackdown tapings.
The reason why is because SCI FI was freaked out of the chants that was heard on One Night Stand. If I was them, I would be concerned as well.
