Rep Power: 5   | tons of WWE/ECW news(spoilers) The Scifi Network has requested that the WWE incorpirate some science fiction material such as aliens and or vampires into the ECW product. WWE is hopeful ECW will do well enough that it will be moved to USA once their 12 week deal with Scifi is up. The plan for Kevin Fertig who was recently resigned by the WWE is to be the leader of a heel faction in ECW. Vince McMahon hated the way the Kane vs Kane angle came off on Raw so much that there is talk of dropping the angle all together with no explination. There is talk of bringing back the weekly Kurt Angle Open Invitational once ECW starts. WWE has even given Angle the ok to mention that he wants to challenge anyone who wrestles even if they do so in a 6 sided ring. The original plans of having Heyman and Dreamer book ECW alone may have already gone to the wasteside as WWE creative has been booking most of what has gone on with the brand thus far and they will also be booking One Night Stand. Many workers and staff in the WWE locker room already feel that ECW is going to fail because of this and a number of other reasons. The plan right now is for Mark Henry to be the next World Champion on Smackdown and then he will go on to feud with Batista once he returns. Current new feuds being disscussed for the future are Mr. Kennedy vs Booker T., Lashley vs Randy Orton, Edge vs Carlito, and Shelton Benjamin vs Viscera. ECW on Scifi will be live most of the time when it is done on the East Coast and taped when it will be done on the West Coast. Other names talked about as maybe going to ECW include Charlie Haas, Big Show, Rob Conway, Matt Hardy, Jimmy Yang, and Shannon Moore. The current ratings expectations for ECW on Scifi by the WWE and NBC Univesal is a 1.0 to start. Tazz is scheduled to return to the ring to wrestle in a limited role soon and the plan is do to a match between him and Lawler very soon. Paul Burchill's pirate character is no more. Once Paul is back from injury he will be sent down to OVW until they can come up with a new character for him. some interesting, and upseting news there | |
