Samoa Joe hurt at Impact Tapings

Details are sketchy, but Samoa Joe appeared to suffer a knee injury in a match taped for Xplosion after the TNA Impact tapings ended tonight in Orlando.

Joe was throwing a kick to David Young when the knee appeared to go out. We don't know any more details other than he had to be helped out of the ring, and the first reports were from those who were scared it was serious.

If he is out for a long time, this will be a huge blow to TNA. Not as much to ROH considering Joe isn't a main player in ROH anymore but is still a huge draw.

That would be a big loss for TNA especially since they were just beginning a Joe face turn and main event push.

I agree. Now we'll have to wait and see who the next WCW "star" is to take his place.

It seemed as if it was going to be a face turn but I think he may be a tweener considering he left Sting in the ring to be beaten up. I wouldn't call him a face yet.

Bad news since they were just beginning his main event push. He was one of TNA's better wrestlers too.

Following an MRI last night, TNA X-Division champion Samoa Joe was diagnosed with a strained MCL and a tear of his PCL. He is not expected to miss any major bookings due to the tear, although he is going to need to rest the knee to prevent the injury from worsening. The knee had been nagging Joe since injuring it several weeks back while wrestling for Ring of Honor in Cleveland, Ohio. Joe was taken to the hospital by TNA officials last night after his knee locked up while delivering a kick to David Young during a match taped for TNA Xplosion. Joe will undergo further examination after returning to California, where he resides.

I wonder if this means he will only do TNA tapings/ppvs or continue to do ROH as well.
