ECW PPV Main Event Revealed? Leyla, TNA & More
By Andy Stevens
04/05/2006 - An advertisement in the pay per view preview guide I received today lists ECW One Night Stand and it mentions "...watch as Rob van Dam challenges Triple H for the WWE Championship Belt." Also it lists a pay per view for Q4 known as Cyber Sunday. I guess they renovated the Taboo Tuesday pay per view. (Thanks to NY Sports Red)
I was watching this reality show themed program about where are reality stars now on MTV called true life. They were covering on the Asian guy from Survivor and how he tries to get into red carpet gala events to make a long story short well, he shows up at the event with his girlfriend which happened to be Leyla Miller from the WWE Diva Search 2 (the nipple slip girl). They were there just to get free stuff showing up in a Ford Explorer while everybody arrived in Bentley’s and Mercedes’. (Thanks to Israele Padilla)
I was watching the Comedy Central show Distraction, and as one of the distractions, they had to answer questions while receiving wrestling moves from pro wrestlers. Two of those wrestlers were former TNA X-Division Champions, Frankie Kazarian and Samoa Joe. (Thanks to Rob Feldman)
Everyone knows by now that Taboo Tuesday has been renamed Cyber Sunday, so that guy is a little slow behind the times.
I think most people are expecting Triple H to win the title from Cena at Backlash. I'm not too happy at the idea of RVD challenging for the title at ONS though, the PPV should contain only ECW matches IMO.
Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

I'm not sure Vince has enough faith in the old ECW guys to put on a show with just them in it. For example, this year it'll be highly unlikely that he'll have Jericho to use, Dudleys, Rhyno and Raven can't come, Tazz has made it clear he doesn't want to go through the ropes anymore, Eddie's passed away, Tajiri's working for someone else in Japan now isn't he? Old ECW guys are beginning to wear thin on the ground.
I suppose he could always hope that Foley will bring his game for it this time around and not just sit behind the commentary desk and at least RVD will actually be able to put on a match this time.
I don't know, but I think Vince'll be looking at the available guys and thinking he has no choice but to pad out the old ECW roster with WWE talent
I was kind of hoping that RVD would some how challenge for the World Title against Rey Mysterio for the ECW One Night Stand.
On some of the guys, I believe in one of the interviews when he left was that Tajiri said he would always come back for an ECW One Night Stand and WWE could work out a deal with the Japan promotion he is working with.

I think Triple H has the ability to put on a hardcore match. The guy fuckin goes all out every ppv. Triple H is starting to be one of my favorite wrestlers. Guy puts on a good show everytime or atleast tries to...

Exactly. He'll be fine. I would never worry about HHH putting on a show. Bulldog made a good point though, they are really running low on ECW guys, I'm not sure how they are going to get a full card of matches on here.
