Main Eventer Suspended
Although details are still sketchy at this time, PWInsider.com has learned that World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended Randy Orton for 60 days. I'm not yet sure of the reason, but I hope to have more on this story later today.

5:40 PM Update: WWE issued a text message via their mobile service confirming the story, citing that Orton had been suspended for "unprofessional conduct."

It should be interesting to see what WWE does at tonight's Smackdown taping as Orton had been advertised in the main event, challenging WWE World champion Rey Mysterio.

Maybe it was and WWE doesn't want to say that. I wonder what he did to get suspended for 2 months, and what they will do with SD's main event since it was supposed to be Orton-Mysterio.

The thing with a positive drug test is that the first warning is 30 days, it is the second warning that is 60 days. So I guess that suggests that it, probably, isn't drug related

I guess we'll find out if it's a work or not after Smackdown's been taped this evening.

I agree with Bulldog, I doubt it's drug related as it doesn't fit with their procedures. I guess we'll have to wait and see... Good job he wasn't given the title on Sunday, then WWE would have been in a mess.

Might be part of the reason that he wasn't... Vince was apparently changing his mind a lot around the weekend and the original plan was for Orton to walk out with the title if im not mistaken.

wow thats pretty big news. Could this be the beginning of Orton's fall from grace within the company? Hope not cause he's a talented guy but his momentum has really stalled since he lost the hell in a cell match against Taker.
