I really like that the Finlay-Lashley match didn't end with a clean pin as Finlay hit him with the club.
It didn't seem like they did much promotion with SNME except for the main event. I hope the Boogeyman some how came out after Booker T won.
March 28th: Ring of Honor in Orlando, FL, March 29th: WWE Hall of Fame in Orlando, FL, March 30th: WWE Wrestlemania XXIV in Orlando, FL
April 13th: TNA Lockdown from Lowell, MA
wtf how is finlay in this mib and lashley isn't, and i agree with rambo sounds boring thats why i read the spoilers so i don't have to watch
thats what i do. i ahven't watched smackdown in god knows how long. plus i dont' like that it is on fridays. from 8-10 is when im getting hammered. im not going to stay in to watch wrestling lol.
I think you can just about get away with having Ric Flair in the ladder match... but Finlay as well?! Hell no! Last years MITB was going to be a hard act to follow as it was, but now there's no hope unless they throw a few Cruisers in there for the other 2 Smackdown spaces.
Here are more detailed spoilers, the Hardy-Animal match was indeed a MITB Qualifier:

Velocity Taping
Test beat Sylvan: Test was in good shape and seemed very happy to be back. Was a pretty good opener. Test won it with the big boot.
Tatanka beat Big Vito: Tatanka was in better shape that I expected him to be and was one of the crowd favorites. Was a better match than you would've expected it to be. Tatanka won with the Penbrook Slam (Samoan Drop) after interference from Nunzio.
Paul London beat Brian Kendrick, Jamie Noble, & Kid Kash in a 4 Way Cruiserweight #1 Contenders Match: London pinned Kendrick with a rollup, but they shook hands afterwards. There was not one dive to the outside in the entire match, and maybe 2 or 3 top rope moves. Very disappointing considering who all was involved.
Gymini beat The Mexicools: Not even sure why this match happened. Gymini won with a weird looking double powerbomb type move.
Smackdown
Finlay beat Bobby Lashley in a Lumberjack-Money in the Bank Qualifying Match when Finlay hit Lashley with his stick (I don't know how you spell what it's actually called.) The face Lumberjacks were all little guys. The heels beat the crap out of Lashley every time he got thrown to the outside, but the faces never really stepped in and helped much. Lashley ended up cleaning house on the lumberjacks before it was all said and done. I'm not sure Lashley knows how powerful he is. I really don't think jobbing him out, even if it's screwjob finishes, is the right move. The dude has the explosiveness of Goldberg, with an actual legit background in wrestling to boot. He deserves a shot to run with the ball.
Matt Hardy beat Animal by DQ in a Money In the Bank Qualifying Match: Animal originally won but they reversed the decision when the ref saw the brass knucks Animal had used hidden under his arm. Animal wore biker clothes and jeans, with no paint.
Burchill & Krystal b Regal & Jillian Hall
They announced a Battle Royal next week for the final Money in the Bank slot
Chris Benoit beat Orlando Jordan with the Sharpshooter. After the match, Bradshaw hit Benoit with a cooler and laid him out. The cooler was clearly a foam cooler and was empty, but Benoit sold it like he had been shot.
Booker T beat Jeremy Young: Young got no offense at all. After the match, the Boogeyman showed up but really didn't do anything other than eat worms and dance around.
Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio Jr. & Kurt Angle beat MNM & Mark Henry: Mysterio and Angle worked the entire match. Rey had just hit the 619 on Mercury when out of nowhere, Orton jumped in and scored the pin.
POST-SMACKDOWN MAIN EVENT
Kurt Angle beat Randy Orton, Mark Henry, and Undertaker in a 4 Way Dance to retain the title. Angle pinned Orton after Taker had chokeslammed him. It was about a ten minute effrort. Taker was the fresh man out there, and he did his "Old School" bit, but other than that it was mostly punches and kicks. In the end, everyone hit their finishers, and Angle ended up getting on Orton while Taker was down. Passable main event.
From Katherine Pitcox:
I was at the taping last night and thought I'd send a few notes. The
entire top of the arena was closed off but the bottom was about 90%
full at least. Good loud crowd that was hot for almost everything.
Test defeated Sylvan. Test received a good pop and most seemed
shocked he was there.
Tatanka defeated Vito.
Paul London defeated Jamie Noble and Kid Kash and Brian Kendrick in a
fatal four way for the #1 contender for the Cruiserweight Title.
Gymini defeated the Mexicools.
Tazz and Cole came out to a good pop.
A recap of the main event from last week aired then the opening and pyro.
Preview of tonights matches.
Finlay defeated Lashley in a Lumberjack match for the Money in the
Bank Qualifier. Finlay used the club after Lashley was distracted by
Sylvan entering with a chair.
MNM were backstage looking at the Playboy magazine and Vince's
magazine cover. Melina went to talk smack to Kristal and Paul
Birchall came up and threatened M and N with a sword.
Raw Rebound focusing on Shawn, Vince and Shane.
Paul Birchall and Kristal beat William Regal and Jillian Hall in a
mixed tag match.
Booker T and Sharmell backstage arguing over her going to the ring.
Hall of Fame induction video
Booker T defeated The Fire Jeremy Young in a squash
Boogeyman's music played after, Booker T and Sharmell were freaking
out and went under the ring. They ran back out with Boogeyman
chasing them. They went up the ramp and Boogey ate his worms. Great
pop for Boogeyman with chants for him throughout the match.
Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton and Kurt Angle did an interview. Mostly
Angle and Randy talking. Randy was pretty funny with his facial
expressions throughout. Rey and Angle said they could work together
tonight and at SNME but at Mania its not about teamwork.
Matt Hardy defeated Animal by DQ in a Money in the Bank Qaulifier.
Animal won with brass knuckles but the ref reversed the decision
after he saw them. Matt got good pop.
JBL entered for commentary.
Chris Benoit defeated Orlando Jordan with the Sharpshooter. The roof
raised when Chris Benoit entered. By far the biggest pop so far.
After the match, JBL hit Benoit in the head with his beer cooler he
brought out. JBL left and Chris got a huge ovation when he finally
stood and they played his music.
Mark Henry and Daivari did a promo on the casket match and not fearing Taker.
Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle defeated MNM and Mark Henry.
Randy stole the pin from Rey after not working any of the match.
He kept refusing to tag in.(Angle's ribs were taped selling the table
splash from last week)
After the match, Rey and Angle stood in the ring while Randy mouthed
outside. He took an Eddie tribute shirt and wiped his sweat all over
it.
Rey left the ring. Teddy Long's music hit and he announced the Fatal
4-way for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Kurt Angle retained the WHC defeating Undertaker and Mark Henry and
Randy Orton. Very good match with the biggest pop of the night being
for Taker. When his music hit it was deafening.
After Angle left the ring, Taker stood up and did his exit with the
music and the lights and everyone went crazy again.
All in all a great night. You couldn't ask for much better than 11
matches in one night. This was our first taping and it was awesome.
Side note: We went to IHOP to eat after the show. Paul London and
Matt Hardy came in and were very gracious with us. We had a long
conversation with Paul about different things and got both their
autographs. They were very nice and make you feel good about the
wrestling industry.
