One excuse WWE officials are using to explain his souring rapport with male WWE fans, however, is that the wrestler is simply too good looking. Those buying into this logic feel that male fans are threatened by the wrestler's looks.

WWE used the same excuse when fans turned on Shawn Michaels much earlier in his career.

Could be some truth to it, but personally I think Orton is a better looking guy then Cena and he gets cheered for his ****y attitude. There's more to it then just Cena looking too good.

It could have a lot to do with his appearance.

The fact that he's good looking, is white, and enjoys the rap music probably hurts him quite a bit by the average wrestling fan. Let's be honest, wrestling fans aren't exactly progressive.

Oh yeah, I agree with you. A lot of wrestling fans think rap automaticaly means "dumb ******s" and they hate anything that has to do with it. Plus, a lot of fans (excluding you and I) are ugly.

haha yup. Even I hated on guys like Timberlake although to this day I still don't find him all that attractive. I don't see the big deal. At least Cena is pretty jacked.

Truth be told, I actually think there's a lot to this theory. Most of Cena's boos come from the male audience who could be quite jealous that their girlfriends think Cena is hot. Hell, most of the "Let's go Cena" chants sound predominantly female, whereas his boos and the cheers for his opponents sound more like it's predominantly male.

A girl I used to work with used to get crap from her boyfriend for liking Orton and thinking he was cute. It got to the point that when they were watching wrestling and Orton came on, he would turn the channel so she could not see him.

So there is probably some truth to this considering we have wrestling fans like that out there.
