Tomorrow morning, TNA wrestlers will be informed that the promotion will be moving to Thursday evenings at 9PM starting on April 13, 2006. An official press release from Spike TV is expected to follow, although that may not come until as late as Tuesday during the scheduled media teleconference with X-Division champion Samoa Joe.
There is no current information yet as to what Spike has planned for the 10PM hour yet.
That is good news for TNA and wrestling in general. WWE needs to step it up, they officially have some competition. Lets just hope that now WWE's product will get better.

I think that it is great that is somthing besides wwe on weeknight tv. This should wake up the wwe and get there ass into gear. TNA will make the most out of this primtime slot too, they are going to go at it with 200%
Definitely good news. I'm glad that Spike didn't put it on Mondays (Jarrett was pushing hard for that). Now's not the time to go head-to-head with WWE. I think Thursdays will be great for TNA and really, I don't ever see a need to go head-to-head with WWE. No sense in dividing your audience when you're the only wrestling-related show on Thursdays.
I think TNA will eventually compete with WWE head-to-head, but probably not for a few years.
I'm glad they will be getting this great timeslot, although I do wish that they would be given 90 minutes because their 60 minute show goes by much too quickly.
