Sting Appearance Leads To Record TNA Rating

Source:prowrestling.com

Sting's first appearance on national wrestling television since the end of WCW helped this week's TNA iMPACT! score a series-high 1.1 rating.

The show, which was watched by 1.3 million viewers, posted a 1.0 in both young male demographics (18-34 and 18-49).

Between the spike in the Final Resolution buyrate and the iMPACT! rating, it is clear that fans are interested in Sting's appearances for TNA. The company will tape a follow-up to his farewell announcement tonight in Orlando.

That's good news for TNA...looks like the Sting purchase is paying off so far. I wonder how long they'll keep him off TV though. I don't think anyone's buying that farewell speech...maybe he'll screw Christian over at the PPV?

The plan is for Jarrett to basically keep ragging on Sting until he returns(probably at the next PPV). I guess bringing in Sting was a great idea afterall, and maybe it will help convince Spike TV to give them more specials(like on February 13th when Raw is pre-empted for a damn tennis match).

Yes he did, a one year contract worth about $500,000.

you would think they would use him more if they are paying him that much. but it could be in his contract that he only has to do so much.
