Matt Hardy didn't work last nights Smackdown tapings do to a Staph Infection in his right knee. It also looks like he won't be working this Sunday's Royal Rumble.

I dont see why he can't work it, all he needs to do is be in there for a min, and feed him to someone like Kane or the Big Show... who usually have a streak where they eliminate someone as soon as they come in.
He prolly doesent want to just go in there to get knocked out like that. He is a face. Mainly a heel would run in and get thrown out. It would just make him look bad. Just a couple of weeks ago, hardy was supposed to get choke slammed by taker but just left the ring case he didnt want to.
He still might work the rumble. Guess we just have to wait and see.

I believe Matt Hardy has a staph infection which can spread through skin contact I believe. That could be dangerous if he came into contact with other wrestlers.

I would be upset about this if he was planning on coming out to the Rumble with Shannon Moore. Their tactics were a highlight from the 2003 Rumble.
