TNA to bring in major wrestling star? Maybe Bret Hart?

Source:prowrestling.com

It is well-documented that Spike TV wants TNA to bring in bigger names to strengthen its credibility with casual wrestling fans. In fact, sources say TNA's failure to sign another marquee name is the reason it did not receive the Monday night special on 2/13.

Members of TNA have reached out to Bret Hart, Chris Jericho and The Rock in recent months, although no deals are anywhere near being signed.

At this point, a Chris Jericho debut appears unlikely. During the two parties' discussions, it became clear that Chris Jericho wants "Sting money" in order to join the TNA roster, and the wrestling company has no intention to offer him that much.

Following discussions with Bret Hart, however, Jeff Jarrett is optimistic that "Hitman" will eventually make appearances for TNA.

Jeff Jarrett recently consulted The Rock for "product advice" - appearing for TNA was not discussed in that meeting. Nonetheless, it is possible that TNA might eventually extend an offer to The Rock, although the odds of Rock even considering an appearance for TNA are not very good.

I doubt that they will get any of the talents that was just mentioned.

Who do you think will be the next wrestling star to jump to TNA?

Didn't Jericho say a few days ago that he had no intention of returning? Or was that just about WWE?

Bret would not actually be able to wrestle, and since he lives in Italy now he would probably only make a couple of appearences. I would love to see him on TV again though.

I think if The Rock were to return it would be to WWE, especially since being in TNA would not help his Hollywood career much(which seems to be his main focus now).

Bret would be nice, just not sure how they'd use him. I don't think he'll sign anyway. I think The Rock is done with wrestling period. Jericho is a slight possibility but only if its apparent that his band won't take off.

I think right now the best chance they have of landing a huge talent would be (No..not Goldberg. God help me!) Brock Lesnar. It'd be huge if they got him and I'm sure he'd love to stick it to WWE also.. Big time signing if they could pull that off.

There's still the issue of Lesnar's no-compete clause, the WWE would have an easier time enforcing it if Lesnar tried to wrestle in TNA since TNA actual competition to WWE.

I'm not sure how that would work out, I'm just saying it'd be a huge deal if they got him and I'm almost sure he'd consider going.

Brock vs. AJ
Brock vs. Daniels
Brock vs. Christian
Brock vs. Samoa Joe

I'm creaming my pants.

I always wanted to see Brock vs. Monty Brown

I would love to see Brock go to TNA. I agree with Blitz. Im not sure if he can, or what is the deal with this lawsuit thing, but Lesnar in TNA would be huge. I hope he goes.

I would love to see it too, and since he would only have to wrestle about 5 times a month i'm sure he would love to do it. Brock Vs. Samoa Joe would be an amazing match to watch.

I'm certainly down with seeing Joe versus Brock. That would be my personal dream match.

Brock would be their best choice if they have the cash, not for a long run but just to bring in for a couple of PPV's. I thought they would have been better off using any money they had for either Brock or Goldberg (as much as I'm not a huge fan of Bill) than shelling out that much for Sting.

Jericho I could see working there one day, if his rock career doesn't go the way he wants. Especially now with a close friend like Christian down there.

The Rock is a no no (methinks), one reason would be the cash involved would have to be huge and the other would be it just wouldn't interest him with their current audience size. Maybe if they move onwards and upwards it may.

I thought Jericho has said that if he goes back to wrestling, he is loyal to WWE and will go back there.

Rock won't. Just because it won't help in neway and once again, i believe he is loyal to WWE.

With all this teased Hitman stuff going on in WWE at the moment with HBK and Vince, i wouldn't be suprised if Bret goes to TNA just to screw around with Vince's story.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.
