In character or not, I don't think he should refer to Eddie in that context. It's not what I would call right.

If I was in that situation, I think I would try to stay away with a eddie comment. Not that I think he was out of hand or anything, But people could take it the wrong way.

I don't have a problem with it, really. Especially if WWE does, in fact, have somebody like Rey penned in to win the Rumble. It would be cool to see a flashback of HHH making that comment, and then Rey can talk about how he knew Eddie was on his side and shit like that

If the WWE themselves werent exploiting it so much I may have looked upon HHHs words a bit differently.

Im getting a bit sick of every Rey match being dedicated to eddie... Same as chavo doing the frog splash and whatnot every match. It was a nice tribute at first.. but now they are building their whole characters, matches and now angles around it.

If people are incorporating eddies death into their onscreen wrestling character.. then they are fair game

Im no HHH fan, and i had no problems with the remarks.

I agree with you. If you were Chavo Guerrero, would you really want to get over because of Eddie's death. I don't want to sound mean or anything but that would bother me. It be nice the first few times but to keep on hearing Eddie being chanted. I just have a feeling that the rest of his career is going to be a tribute to Eddie.

I think it'd be fun if HHH won the title on a seperate show and Rey won the Rumble and moved to RAW. Then they could replay that clip and have Rey go over HHH at Mania..

Problem is.. I'm happy with Edge as champ on RAW.
