Rep Power: 37    | Benoit Status Reports also indicate that WWE is now whiling to give Chris Benoit a new offer he cannot refuse after being offered a lower contract a few months ago. Despite reports, its being rumored that they only offered him around 200,000, and Benoit still as of yet has not re-signed. Hopefully with them offering him a deal he can't refuse, it should be much higher now. The whole concept of them offering him more is so that he doesn't potentially jump ship to TNA. With that being said, TNA really at this point isn't looking to seek out new talent for the company due to the fact that they just signed Sting to a new half-million dollar deal. Rep Power: 19 | Benoit has supposedly expressed no interest in leaving WWE so I fully expect him to re-sign with them. He is easily one of the best wrestlers in the company and should be competing for the World Title, not in some lame US Title feud with Booker T. |
