Iron Man Match TBA

Source: WrestlingObserver.com

It is expected that WWE will 'officially' announce the Iron Man match featuring Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle for the October 3rd edition of RAW on this Monday's show.

Damn, this really is going to be a PPV. That match should be very good and we already have the Bischoff/Cena and the ladder match with Hardy/Edge announced. Triple H is coming back. A bunch of legends will be there. I'm getting really excited for this.

60 minutes used up right there, I hope the ladder match goes 25-30 too. Thats like 60% of the airtime unless USA let them run on.
I had a sig, once.

Depends if there is a dog show later in the night as to whether they let them run on.

Although, i said it on the Piper's Pit Thread, this is seriously something, you do not want to miss. Buy your recordable media now!
I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I think they already did this year's dog show on USA.
Besides, they are providing 4 hours to WWE programming that night so they don't have to worry about going over.

You are right thirty, this will be a historic Raw and one that everyone should record if they can. With such a card I wonder if Raw will break the 5.0 mark for the first time in years. The Iron Man match is easily the best match sceduled for it, although I expect there will only be 3 or 4 actual matches.
Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Whoa! That should be a good match. Homecoming sure does look like a PPV, it'll probably be better than most of the Smackdown PPVs in recent memory
Edge will rise again...

According to Meltzer, the HBK-Angle ironman match will be a 30 minute match, not the WWE-standard 60-minute match. Should be a great match.

As for ratings, I think RAW will get a 4.3-4.5 somewhere around that mark. I think a 5.0 rating for the night is unrealistic at this point.

I was actually thinking when I posted my first comment, that it should be a 30min match. 1 hour is a long time to keep a crowd interested in a match these days. But if there were two superstars who could pull off a 1 hour match at this moment in time it's Kurt and Shawn.
Edge will rise again...

I agree with DJ. A lot of people are down on WWE right now and it'll take more than one show to get them back even if it is a PPV-type card. A 5.0 would be huge but I don't see it happening.

WWE needs some big long-term storylines or something to get the people back they've lost over the years.. Something HUGE. Maybe even the next Rock or Austin.

WWE.com announced yesterday that Roddy Piper will host a special edition of "Piper's Pit" on the "WWE Homecoming" edition of Raw on October 3, with Piper's guest being Mick Foley.

It was also announced yesterday at WWE.com that Shawn Michaels will battle Kurt Angle in a 30-minute Ironman Match on October 3, however the announcement was quietly pulled a short time later. It's unknown why the announcement was pulled, nor it is known as of yet whether WWE will still go ahead with the match. However, shortly before WWE's announcement, TNA announced a 30-minute Ironman Match between AJ Styles and Chris Daniels at the Bound for Glory PPV on October 23. So perhaps WWE chose to pull the match to avoid creating the impression that they borrowed the idea.
