I think that the whole UPN deal had something to do with what Vince said. Like you said if they spoke bad of UPN they could make some trouble for the WWE. But I also think that Vince was referring to where they tried to get Mark Copani to go to OVW and he wouldn't. My personal opinion is that the WWE was thinking about bringing back the Hassan character in the near future but for the mean time they were going to send Copani to train in OVW and get some more experience. When Copani refused I think the WWE just said enough with this guy. I know his departure was "mutually" agreed upon but if he didn't report to OVW like WWE wanted him to I think the WWE just decided he didn't have a place in WWE anymore. So I think it is partly Copani's fault.
