Matt Striker signs with WWE

Former New York City teacher, Matt Striker has been signed to a WWE contract according to the website of indy wrestling promotion ECWA which states:

"Congratulations to former ECWA Tag Team Champion, Striker, who was recently signed by WWE."
Note from Joey Styles: That is a young man who made lots of lemonade when life handed him lemons. I still think what he did was wrong but I am thrilled that he will be living his dream with WWE

Why did Joey have to state is thoughts on what he did being wrong? He took a sick day and did something else. Seeing how under paid teachers are, I think that alone justifled him taking a sickday.

I wonder what they will do with him.

Do we see a teaching gimmick coming? lol

To be honest you've gotta praise the guy (Striker) he took a huge risk and it paid off. I don't know of many people who would have the balls to take that risk.

I was thinking, Striker could turn up in Pittsburgh next week and screw Angle out of a rematch with Eugene and maybe win the gold medal. I'm not 100% but wasn't Strikers very first WWE apearance in Pittsburgh as part of the Angle Invitational... if so it would be a nice circle of events.
Edge will rise again...

You're right D, and I was thinking the very same thing last night while watching RAW once they announced they'd be in Pittsburgh. That'd be pretty cool. Congrats to Striker, a guy I think has the potential to be a good addition to WWE's roster.

Agreed.

He seems pretty generic, but if they give him a decent gimmick, he seems to have the skills to pull it off. Good for him!

The name Matt Striker needs to be changed though. So 80's.
