I think he needs a good run as a face. He hasn't done that in years. Ric Flair claims to be the greatest ever, and he is, becuase as good of a heel as he was he could always switch to a face when he needed to, and the people were always as ready to cheer him as they were to boo him. HHH needs to take a hint from his mentor and learn to play both sides instead of leaning on his heel crutch.
Get yourself an old wrestling tape. Watch Flair in his prime, Terry Funk, The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Barry Windham, The Andersons, Pat Patterson, The Briscoes, and I dare you,... I dare you to try to tell me that WWE is even a remotely good product. Wrestling happened before 1998 and just because you didn't see it does not mean it did not exist. Broaden your horizons people!!!
Ida..the thing that pisses me off the most is that people act like Triple H runs the entire show, he writes everything, and he's only out to make himself look good.
To me, I don't know how anyone would know unless they are in that WWE lockeroom, and by watching Triple H on tv, his character has put a lot of people over or at least tried to. Some worked out, and some didin't but it shouldn't all be the blame of The Game.
Ida..do you really think that Triple H has told the writers that Benoit should be put in the mid-card? I highly doubt it..I'd be willing to bet that the writers just don't see a long-term main eventer in Benoit. They saw a guy who worked his ass off for 17 years and decided to give him his little title reign before he retires out of respect for all he's done for the company.
If they believed in Benoit that much, thn why is it he's fighting over the U.S. Championship now, instead of being thrust into the main event on SD! ? Why wasn't Benoit ever champion on SD! last time he was there? There's no Triple H on the show alledgedly holding himback from greatness.
And one more thing, Triple H has stroke..we know that. But people act like Taker doesn't, or HBK doesn't, or Cena won't, or Stone Cold, Rock, Hogan, etc. didn't...It's been that way for years. Certain guys get huge and they mean more to a company than Matt Morgan, and therefore, they have more say in the company.
I know the others weren't fucking Steph..but still. How many friggin' main events did Hogan have? Shit, when Diesel was in the company he had some stroke with HBK and look what happend...He was champion for a frickin' year for christ sake..And he wasn't even good at it.
I could go on and on...
Bottom line..Triple H is great, RAW is great at the moment without him, but I think it'll get evn better when a freshened up Game comes back.

Blitz, do you realize that his wife is in charge of the writing team? With guys like Benoit, I think Vince is the one having the say on who gets to be the champ in his company.
You can't sit there and seriously tell me that he would have been champ for that many times and for so long unless he had some pull?
At least with Taker, he was smart enough to get it in his contract to not lose at WM, or so goes the rumor. Maybe HHH had a lot of shit put in his contact like how much ahir time he gets and How many times he gets to be champ.
I'm sure Triple H takes advantage of things, just like Hogan, Rock, Austin, etc..
But I don't get all the hate towards him...The guy has lost a ton of big matches in his career, some of which to people he should have never lost to. Is he in the main event all the time? Yes..why? because he's a main eventer that's why.
It's good that he's taking time off and others can shine, but when he comes back he's not jobbing to Rosey nor should he..
Rosey and Hurrican were the tag champs..should Trips have run throught them like they were nothing? Yes. He should have and did. They are jobbers, that's there role.
But did he run through Shelton? No..why? because WWE saw a future for the kid.
He is a heel and has more stroke than Hogan,SCSA,and THe Rock combined. People get sick of heels faster than they do face, and if you look back, they all were let go or switched their character when the time was right. HHH passed that time a while ago and didn't have the where with all to realize this and do something about it and bring something different to the plate. Instead he choked up on the bat and kept swinging. I have no idea how that turned into a baseball analogy but you get my point.
See I hate the argument that he is in the main event all the time because he is a main eventer. Yeah, he is but so is Taker and Angle and Hbk and so many others and they have all worked midcard feuds. Trips has ruled Raw with an iron-fist since the brand-split. That's the problem. I'm not down with crappin' all over him all the time, but to act like he is perfect is a little far fetched in my estimation. The problem with him is he requires so much screen time and he's in every main event.
How is anyone supposed to break through the infamous "glass ceiling" when he's on the show? There's just not enough time. And that is why people hate trips so much, his need to have the show center on him. And that's not to say others haven't done the same but it is different and I'll explain.
When Austin was at his peak, and the show was centered around him it was simple, McMahon forms plot against Austin tells Austin not to even show up or else, McMahon comes out later for big announcment, Austin ruins said anouncment.
And that would be that with guys like Austin or Rock they would build to their entrance usually at the top of the second hour, they would say what they had to say or do what they had to do, and we'd see them in the main event later. With Triple H it's his 20 minutes at the beginning of the show, his meeting with Bischoff, his 2-3 scheming sessions with Flair, and his beatdown, or if he is working his 20 minute match followed by his beatdown.
You run through that forumula for to two to three years and people will grow sick of you and think of you as the problem for everything, why? Because he's mentioned throughout the whole show, even when he is not on JR and King talk about him. So, while I realize the good things he does the bad has always outweighed the good, considering he is given so much screentime that does so little to entertain me. I just hope when he returns he will understand that less and more and be a positive force on the show(i.e interacting with others) rather than a negative one(i.e. dominating others).
You are arguing two different things. I understand that he should be given less time on TV, and I understand that he should work a couple mid-card feuds here and there, but he doesn't make others look bad in the process of what he's done.
In every match Triple H has been apart of he sells his ass off, and then either picks up a cheap win, or he loses..It's not his fault that Orton sucked as a face and had to be turned back, or that nobody considers Benoit a Main Eventer, or that WWE didn't know what to do with Shelton..
That's the writers problem.
And another thing, I'm not saying you, but others get mad when Triple H comes out and beats the fuck out of the Hurricane..I don't understand this. And JV has done alot of complaining about this also..what does it matter? In WWE's eyes Hurricane is a jobber, so why should I get mad when he's treated like one?
I need to clarify, when I say dominate others, its not to say in the ring. I mean he dominates the tv time. And that is what is making his opponents look weak(except Batista) they don't get enough time to flesh out their character. They are just HHH's foil but have no reason to be other than trips=evil.
