It did look like Kurt had to lift him for the Angle Slam. Kurt might have felt Striker/Martel had the choke on to tight, or it could have been a complete accident.

Angle did kick him while he was laying on the mat. his back was to the camera so I couldn't tell if Angle kicked him in the face neck or upper chest. maybe that's when it happened.
