Will Triple H stop at 15 title reigns?

An interesting question was put to Triple H on Byte This! yesterday when somebody asked him if he would stop wrestling when he reached 15 title reigns out of respect for Ric Flair. Initially, the Game dodged the question, but went on to say that as a friend, Flair would want him to pass 16.

hahah. course we don't know flair personally, but really. who would want their record to be broken?
if I was Flair, and HHH was in a match where I knew/thought he was gonna beat my record, I'd come out and disrupt the match, w/ a sledgehammer or something blunt to the back of HHH's head. friends or not, shoot or not. I would not give up that record and Flair's past doesn't' seem to make me think that he would happily give it up either.

btw, I loved Peetsy's opinion there. haha

I think he will eventually...but I would prefer to see him out of the World title picture for a little while

Agreed, but since he doesn't he's gonna go until #17 and that will be a result of him beating Flair himself.

Fuck this "out of respect" thing.

It's Triple H's career and he is a professional and like him or not he does deserve to be successful. The fact that he's already been a ten-time (?) champ just goes to show that he is doing something right. It doesn't matter how many bosses daughters you marry, if you stunk places out night after night you wouldn't be a ten-time champ. He is a damn good wrestler and probably the greatest "traditional" heel of all time.

Besides, Ric Flair has had a remarkable career and if Triple H happened to overtake his record it wouldn't tarnish the fact that he was still a 16-time champ and one of the all-time best.

Records were made to be broken - and besides, in 20 years time I think Triple H will be remembered as equal or superior to Ric Flair anyway.

HHH in my book will always be a great wrestler who used his power for evil not good. It's pretty bad when even "marks" start to think that he has has been holding it for to long. Is HHH a good wrestler?? Yes. Does he deserver to be the world Champion forever?? No (which he very well could be considering he will never get fired and will always hold a larger stake in the company) HHH is just like all other athletes who's ability ran out with time and should've quit while they were ahead. I'm not saying HHH is to old or has no ability, he's just been the center spotlight FOREVER!!!!! He's letting other things get in the way of his ability.

I'm still trying to figure out why the number of reigns are important? It means you lost the title 15 times..

Wouldn't it be better if you held it once for two years or some shit?
