-- Chris Jericho, who has become even more outspoken than ever about WWE, may not renew his contract. His deal with the company ends late this year, and he has been very open about his frustrations. A source close to Jericho backstage, says that he is stale and knows it, but is frustrated that he isn’t given more attention from the creative staff.
The creative team, of about 8 or 9 members, feels that it’s not worth heavily investing any time in him until he renews his contract. This means that Jericho isn’t a top candidate to be moved to Smackdown in the upcoming draft, and given a renewed push.
It would be awesome, though we all know it won't happen, if he went to TNA.
Hell, I even think some Double J and Chris Jericho matches would be excellent. I could totally see those guys battling it out on the mic and in the ring (of course, Jericho would win).
I could also see Jericho taking on Matt and Jeff Hady at different points. Taking them on, joining up with them, and so on. It would make for great tv.
He would most likey just focus on his band and nix wrestling for a while. He talked about all this in his interview with Simon. These rumors are nothing more then stuff taken from interviews he has done and are nothing new. There is always added fluff like added backstage info that is prolly made up or assumptions.
According to sources, Chris Jericho’s future with World Wrestling Entertainment is far from certain. His current contract with the company is scheduled to expire towards the end of this year, and he has become even more outspoken than ever about his tenuous status.
In public interviews, he has been ambivalent about his future with the company, citing burn-out and frustration. One person familiar with Jericho’s backstage attitude says he’s stale and knows it, but is frustrated that he isn’t given more attention from the creative staff.
Members of the creative team don’t believe he’s worth investing heavily in to, at least until he renews his contract, which means he isn’t a top candidate to be moved to Smackdown in the upcoming draft lottery and given a renewed top tier push.
