Triple H injured his neck at the Raw taping this past Monday with the injury being so bad that at one point, he collapsed backstage.

According to several sources, the initial injury occurred during Triple H's handicap match against Hurricane and Rosey when Rosey hit legdropped H and landed on his neck and head. At one point, it was thought Triple H may have had suffered a concussion as well, but we don't have the concussion confirmed at this time.

After the handicap match, H spent a lot of time backstage icing down his neck and keeping a towel around it. He went back out for the show closing angle with Jim Ross and WWE World champion Batista and reaggravated the neck injury while taking a bump during the segment, as he collapsed upon arrival backstage at the gorilla position after the angle.

It is believed that Triple H's injury was the reason why the scheduled dark match main event (Shawn Michaels and Batista vs. Ric Flair and Triple H) was canceled. John Borchardt, who attended the Raw taping, sent word on Tuesday morning that Earl Heber ran down from the back and yelled to ring announcer Lillian Garcia that there was no tag match.

It also appears Triple H's neck injury may have prevented Stepanie McMahon from traveling to Louisville, Kentucky with other members of WWE management and the creative team today to scout WWE's developmental talent in Ohio Valley Wrestling. The scouting went on for about four hours during this afternoon's training session, with the writers heading home prior to tonight's OVW TV taping.

Say what you will about his position but you don't ever wish an injury (especially one as serious as this) onto anyone. The fact alone that he came back out proves without a doubt how loyal he is to the product and wrestling in general. Let's hope he recovers soon

Hopefully he can stay away from the ring untill Backlash (next week match agaiinst JR isnt really a match) then take a few months off

No I wouldn't want to wish injury on him, not at all.

It did make me wonder though, if he wasn't able to wrestle the main event with Batista, at this sort notice, what would you do with the next two Raw's in order to make a new main event given that Orton is gone as well for the time being.

Something involving Edge? Man, that would probably blow.

Yeah...I'd go with Batista vs. Kane, because Kane doesn't have a story at this point.

Does anyone else see anything wrong with this? They go all the way to OVW to scout wrestlers and don't even stay for the taping? How the hell can you tell how someone performs from a training session. At least stay and see how they do in front of a live crowd and a real match. I just don't get it.

I am sure HHH will be fine. He prolly just got whiplash of the neck.

rosey has screwed himself, not like he was gonna get any extra airtime anyways though.
but i agree w/ ida, i thought the same thing when i read that, why did they leave before the actual matches. why am i not surprised that wwe ends up bringing guys up too soon and then having to drop them, ex mordecai, or even nathan jones though i understand he originally fought somewhere else , mayb not
