Wrestlemania 22 in Canada
-WWE is looking into having WrestleMania 22 take place at the Calgary Stadium in Canada. The stadium holds around 45,000 people, so it would be a perfect setting for the event. That would also quickly heat up the rumor mill of a Bret Hart return to WrestleMania with the event taking place in his neck of the woods. pwtorch newsletter

Its pretty funny that the WWE changed Jericho and others hometowns in their entrances from Winnepeg and Calgary respectively to New York City and Las Vegas or something when some of the top fans are Canadians.

I am even offended, and I am not Canadian. They seem to get a ton of hot shows/PPV's, but they can't acknowledge that half the roster is from North of the Border.

Its about time Canada got the full respect they deserve in the WWE.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

This will be great news for me if it ends up being true but there are problems with the news......

1) There is no stadium called Calgary Stadium

2) Chances are it means McMahon Stadium but that is a non-covered stadium and WM would be in March. In Calgary March still has the potential for snow and colder weather. They couldn't wrestle outside like that.

3) It could mean Pengrowth Saddledome but I doubt it since they couldn't get 40,000 in there.

Well the rumor is saying the Stadium they mean can hold 45,000 which isn't Vince saying it. Pengrowth can only hold about 20,000.

-No location of WrestleMania 22 (2006) has been established as of yet and the WWE is not openly discussing the possibilities, but rumors suggest that the event will take place in Canada. It was previously believed that it might take place in Calgary, but the stadium that they have that would accommodate WrestleMania would be outdoors and the WWE does not want to take that risk, so it appears they are looking at Montreal as a possible location.
