HOLT Report from RAW in Toronto from HellKat & IdaMAN

We were sitting right by the entrance way, so had a pretty good view of everything.

Dark Match:

"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters vs. Tyson Dux. Masters poses for the crowd and Dux imitates him much to the delight of everyone in attendance. Masters over Dux with a torture-rack reverse F5.

Heat:

Rhyno vs. Steven Richards - Rhyno via Gore.

...Starr (Not sure of the name-Native gimmick) vs. Tajiri - Chants of "Who are you" to Starr. Tajiri wins via buzzkick to Starr's head.

Christy Hemme comes out to shoot T-Shirts into the crowd. Simon Dean comes out and tells her that she is fat. Val Venis then comes down to defend her. She takes off up the ramp and Dean attacks Venis.

Val Venis vs. Simon Dean - Simon Dean over Venis via brass knucks.


During the breaks:

-Y2J came to the ring before the show started to a huge ovation.
-He and Benoit stayed in the ring for a bit during the break and then went back up the ramp.
-Orton hung out a bit and then went backstage after his brawl w/Trips.
-For those in Canada, Trish got chokeslammed by Kane if TSN blocked it out and she was stretchered out of the ring.

After the cams stopped:

Kane stood up bloody from the fall. The security guy did the "X" w/his hands, guess Kane was hurt or Snitsky was. Snitsky then got up after Kane staggered out.

Bonus Match: HHH/Edge/Batista vs. Benoit/Y2J/Orton

The match was more comical than anything:

- Trips tried to tag in Batista and Edge and they jumped down from the apron.
-Benoit chopped Trips to the point of him staggering backward, took Trips a full 2 minutes whether to fall or not. Y2J kept gesturing for him to fall.
-Edge ran out of the ring at one point and up the ramp, then came back.
-HBK interfered during the match and gets a superkick on Edge.
-A brawl ensues and as Y2J and Benoit are beating Batista down, Batista is too busy killing himself laughing through it.
-Chants of "Go Chris!" and "Fozzy" were heard.
-Orton pins HHH w/an RKO
-After the heels take off the faces stay to shake hands w/the fans and sign autographs. Benoit acknowledged the sign I made for him "Crippling Opposition Since '86"

It was nice having this bonus match where the wrestlers were out of character and it was nice to see the guys cut loose and just entertain the crowd.

Extra IdaMAN notes:

There was 4 guys there dressed as Arabs and they got a lot of heat and cheers. It was pretty funny watching them come into the Arena and seeing them play to the crowd..

Chris Masters was pretty impressive in his dark match. I was really hoping it was going to be him and sure enough out he came. He also has great entrance music and suits his "Masterpiece" character well. He comes down in a Flair type robe and acts very heelish and got a lot of heel reaction. It also helped that the guy he was wrestling was from Toronto.

The Native that faced Tajiri on Heat seemed pretty interesting he also was pretty good in the ring.

It was a fun night and well worth it. The crowd was very into it the whole night and what kind of night would it be without the traditional "Wave" from Toronto!

Oh and I hope they air the 6 man tag somewhere because that was a great match. Very funny.

They probably won't air it anywhere. I went to Smackdown! at Mohegan Sun a couple weeks back and they had a bonus casket match between Undertaker vs. JBL and OJ. Then I watched Smackdown! on the thursday showing and it ended with Undertaker stuffing Heyman into the casket after Heidenreich took off. No casket match to be found for the TV audiance.
