WWE responds to charges against RVD and Sabu

World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this week announced it was investigating five violations, including drug possession, levied against Rob Van Dam and Sabu by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. WWE announced today that based on information gathered over the past few days, Van Dam has been suspended without pay for 30 days and Sabu has been fined $1000. These actions are consistent with the Wellness Policy at WWE.

According to the Ironton Tribune, Rob Van Dam and Sabu were pulled over on U.S. 52, near Patrick Street in Hanging Rock, Ohio at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday night. The two were apparently driving from their performances at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena earlier in the evening.

According to the Ohio State Police, as reported by the Ironton Tribune, Van Dam was initially stopped for speeding. When troopers approached his vehicle, they smelled marijuana and performed a search. Troopers found RVD in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin, prescription pain pills. Sabu was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also had nine pills that were not immediately identifiable, but were known to be controlled substances, according to the OSHP. Both were cited and posted bond at the scene.

Sabu gets a measly $1,000 fine? Jesus christ! And I thought the MLB was being too lenient on steroid users a couple years ago. That's ridiculous

I for one am really happy with this, Sabu has been ECW's MVP so far and the faith that Vince is willing to show in this case shows he is grateful for that effort. $1000 will not be anything like what Sabu will have coming to him for pulling double TV and two PPV's in the last month.

For once, nice one Vince. And Sabu and Rob, just say no (to getting caught).

I can actually see RVD winning it this year and using his title shot at One Night Stand. After claiming All the gold he and Sabu will get busted for weed and RVD will have to drop all the gold and be suspended for 30 days returning not only below the glass ceiling but well and truly in the glass basement, jobbing to Kevin Mordecai Vampire Fertig. The only offense here is that RVD was supplying the weed and Sabu had the pipe. haha. They were both freaking smoking it.

Time to go off on a tangent about the law.

One time when I was much younger we were all drinking heavily one night driving around looking for shit to do. My buddy says "Hey what is Rick doing tonight?" I said, "Shit, lets call him right now"

So I get out of the car and get on a payphone (imagine that, life before cellphones) and was calling my buddy.

So my other friends start busting my balls and are now throwing their empty beer cans at the phone booth I was in. Cops see it.....

Next thing I know all my buddies get arrested and the cop says to me "So you just happened to be on the phone when your friends drove by to see you.....right?" I said "Ummm, yeah. Thats right. I wasnt in that car with those guys."

The cop then says. "Go collect all their money and walk your ass to the police station to bail them out"

It was about 10 degrees out and my jacket was in the car. 3 miles later I got my buddies out.


Ok, I just realized that had nothing to do with Sabu and RVD, but it shows the exact details that police must have to arrest someone. RVD just happened to be carrying the pot.

Rule number 1. Hide the weed. If they can't find it, they can't arrest you. hahaha.



Also, if Crock really said that before this whole thing went down then Holy shit, that is about as exact a prediction (and eery) that I have ever seen.
