TNA: Regarding talent coming in, DDP has been talking like if things go well for him on indies, that he is open to coming in out of his friendship with Eric Bischoff but isn’t planning on it happening. Steve Austin can be crossed off the list because WWE had signed him to a long-term huge money guaranteed contract that he’s still under. He’s getting paid big money to make sure he doesn’t entertain any offers of wrestling elsewhere. Not that he would consider working for Hogan in the first place when he’s trying to separate himself from wrestling to further his acting career.
TNA has tried to make a play to bring in John Layfield again but at this point he’s said to not be that interested. . . Bobby Lashley is very close to signing a long-term deal with Strikeforce. If there is a hold-up, it’s that signing the deal would make it impossible to Lashley to go to UFC until he’s well past his athletic prime, and one of his big goals was to face Brock Lesnar. The upside of the deal is that it would allow him to continue in TNA, whereas if the went to UFC, they wouldn’t allow him to do pro wrestling.
I'm telling ya, they need to get a guy like Randy Orton or Cena to ever blow people away. Someone that just screams WWE now, not 5-10 years ago.

obviously its not going to happen but if Austin signed for TNA i think i would just stare at the screen in amazement and tbh i would watch TNA just because Stone Cold was there.
But if TNA are going to show that they are not a recycled and much poorer version of WCW then the would need to sign someone huge from the WWE and not guys like DDP.

Austin, Page, and Bradshaw? Seriously? These are the names being talked about as those TNA are thinking of signing? Three guys who wouldn't sign, or simply don't really want to. How is this even news? It may as well just say "TNA: Business As Usual".

This amused me b/c I was honestly thinking of starting a TNA thread the other week that I never go around to about which WCW guy TNA should bring in next. It was to be a thread to be full of sarcasm. Oddly enough I was going to make DDP my first pick of the next big WCW star that TNA should bring in.

Hogan is an idiot for saying Austin would sign.
