I thought the Eddie remark was quite appropriate considering it's basically why they are friends in the first place kayfabe-wise.
I don't want to analyse it much, but by saying "Eddie is dead", he was really saying "Eddie is why we were friends, stop mentioning him because our friendship is now dead, like he's been for a long time".

Eddie remark was fine. It was fitting to the scenario, and wasn't as tasteless as Batista randomly yelling out "Eddie is in hell getting ass fucked by Satan" in order to get cheap heat.
I'm not going to complain about this match being put on, the feud is great thus far. But I would have really liked to see a nice slow build to their first encounter as this feud has a chance to be something special. Either way, it's one of the better things on WWE TV right now so I approve.
I am very much looking forward to seeing Rey get squashed like a little bug.
