The 10/29 edition of Impact did a 1.3 rating, up from recent weeks. I think it's fair to say that the buzz around Hulk Hogan's signing had everything to do with the 20 percent jump.

has hit 1.3 several times. So this was not really an increase. You would think that if this was epic, it would get a few points. Should be around 1.6 or 1.7. WWE fluctuates a few points a week, without Hogan.

There was what, two days of hype? The real sign for whether it will be a major change or not is in the weeks to come. Expecting a rating of 1.6-1.7 is having unreal expectations. It's up from 1.1 the previous week. I can't recall a single time when a weekly wrestling show has seen a .5-.6 ratings increase in a time span of a week.

He was signed two days before the show, he was not going to be appearing live on the show (though this was not something every fan knew, just us internet dwellers) and it went up against Game 1 of the World Series which had 19 million viewers. Maybe next week they will get a higher rating with him more likely to appear. I am not sure of the World Series schedule though as I have vowed not to watch it because both the Dodgers and Angels screwed it up

This is the beginning of the TNA takeover. This is what I've been waiting for for so long. First they're going catch them in the ratings, and then they'll beat them in every aspect of the biz.
