Radio Industry website AllAccess.com is reporting that former WWE Women's Champion Mickie James has signed with Nashville based management agents James and Sherry Massaro of Skyline Management Group. They specialize in developing country music artists. She has also signed with a company called Absolute Publicity to do her public relations.
The piece states that she is expected to announce her intentions in the next few weeks.

I wouldn't read much into this. Lilian Garcia recorded music while in WWE, as does Chris Jericho.

She said a while ago in a radio interview that she'd do country music on the side, so i'm guessing this is what she meant. I don't think she's leaving wrestling, especially since she's just turned 30, it would be interesting to see how WWE would send her off, but so many wrestlers and divas have done additional work whilst wrestling, so I think she's staying put. Though props to her for thinking about her future, the shelf life for the divas is almost half what the men have, she probably won't be in the 'E in four years time, wise of her to make sure she's got something to put herself into.

I though she did classical music, but I guess she ranges to the fiddle as well.
Anyway, I hate to say that she has been lacking ability as of late. It does seem like she has lost the passion and thrill, even though she is one of the top diva draws. She also did job to Jillian and get her schedule thrown around by getting randomly traded. Do what makes you feel good, I reckon.

Raw is the "A" show and she was the top diva face on there, and had been since Trish Stratus left, that's why it was different. I don't buy the punishment rumour that has been going around because if that was the case, then the exact same thing can be applied to Beth who has been jobbing/lack luster for months, and gets shifted off to the so called "B" show. My theory is that they're going to gradually make Smackdown the place for good womens wrestling in the WWE. Mickies performance has gotton worse these past few months, but the last four weeks for her have been solid, so she's obviously picking it up again. I partly put down her sloppiness to her opponents but I refuse to get into that debate. Either way, Raw seemed to have a tougher schedule in comparison to Smackdown, so that's probably why she decided to do the country music thing now that she's got a little bit more time on her hands.
