Former TNA tag champion Booker T is reportedly done with TNA after he was stretchered off the Bound for Glory PPV in an injury angle. Booker's contract expires in November, according to Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net, but he's not expected to appear on future TNA TV.
Booker debuted in TNA in November 2007. His days have been numbered as his contract expiration date has approached two years after joining the company. Booker has told people in TNA he has an open door to WWE, which shows what a difference two years can make.
According to records obtained by the Torch earlier this year, Booker violated the WWE Wellness Policy twice in 2007. Instead of serving his second Wellness Policy violation for 60 days, he left the company and joined TNA.
Since 2007, Booker has repeatedly focused on WWE wrestlers in interviews despite being part of TNA. He said as recently as last month that the one "dream match" he has left in the wrestling business is facing Shawn Michaels.
"The only guy I haven't wrestled in the ring one on one is Shawn Michaels. He's the only talent I feel I need to test myself against," Booker said. Booker interview.
Back in March, Booker said he wanted a Best-of-Seven series against a younger star like Randy Orton. Booker skipped past potential TNA stars and singled out Orton because "he's a guy who can get into the ring and perform at a level that can bring me up to another level." Booker interview.
While in TNA, Booker regularly featured a variety of accents that didn't do much to enhance TNA storylines or his existing feud. TNA allowed him to continue doing the accents despite Booker revealing in an interview he was doing the accents to audition for Hollywood
.
If Booker lands in WWE, he could always the chance he could land a WWE Studios role with an entire portfolio of TV work showing range of characters, accents, and body language all on TNA's dime.
No guarantees he's going back to the WWE of course, but it seems likely at this point.

I had heard that Bound for Glory was likely his last appearance. Can't say I'll miss him, he hasent really done much considering his status. I was never a huge Booker fan to begin with but his teaming with Steiner has been pretty entertaining.

That'd be lulz. I haven't enjoyed Booker in the ring for at least 3 years, so I wouldn't really be crushed if he didn't get signed. He could always do the Hogan tours..

Yeah I don't think he's been good for a long time and I wouldn't really care if WWE didn't sign him. Hopefully WWE respond to losing Nigel by poaching someone like Roode. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Another move that I care not a jot about. Whether in TNA or WWE it doesn't really matter. Booker is hilarious on the mic but average in the ring and well past his prime in both respects. If WWE do re-sign him, I personally hope they reunite him with Golddust for the lulz.

He thought those accents would get him to hollywood? If he thinks that, I don't think he could pass the wellness policy in WWE now either.
I do enjoy Book on the mic and thought he and Steiner have been great together. I would like to hear him talk in tna or wwe. I prefer tna b/c I don't fast forward thru the entire show like I do with wwe, but as long as he is around it doesn't really matter where he is I suppose.
On a side note, one of my favorite Booker moments was when he was brawling against Stone Cold in a grocery store and one of them was trying to scan the other one's head.

He left WWE partially because he was woried about his status, I doubt anythings changed in the two and a half years since.
I wouldn't mind seeing the return of King Booker on ECW, for a couple of months, where he wins the belt then actually puts somebody over. But considering moving to ECW was another reason he left WWE to begin with, I don't see it happening.

If only Roode and Storm hadn't signed new 5 year deals to keep from going to WWE. Which they would be useless if they went to the WWE just like everyone else. And good riddance to Booker as he did nothing in TNA but hog the spotlight that he never even earned.
