Re: Shane McMahon Quits WWE

Linda is gone from the E, it's Steph and Vince.

Shocked by this. I can understand where he's coming from though. If I got pushed to the side by a family business, I'd want to do something different too.

Re: Shane McMahon Quits WWE

ok, for those of you saying that Shane and Linda were the only good McMahons, what do you base that one?

What have Shane and Linda done that is so much better than Vince and Steph?

What angles have they pushed for?

Do you actually know these things or do you just assume that Vince and Steph are bad, therefore, Shane and Linda are good?

Re: Shane McMahon Quits WWE

How was Shane ever put to the side? I've never heard any report stating he wanted to get involved in the booking aspect of the company. He was always more interested in the business side. Hunter and Stephanie were more involved in the booking. Just as Vince and Linda had two different roles, so did Shane and Stephanie.

I see this a chance for Shane to do something different business wise. Seeing Lynda leave, I think Shane sees this as his chance to either start his own business or come into another company. (Non wrestling related)

There was also one story about how HHH apparently once walked in on Vince watching Steph sleep and was drooling, but I dunno how inflated that is (wouldn't surprise me if it was true). Plus there was a load of shit between Steph and Heyman, but thats well documented itself.
The incest storyline is well known, and as that came from Vince himself, it's a tad disturbing and "bizarre".

What was the Steph/Heyman thing..? I probably know but right now I cannot think what it is/was.

This is a totally valid point. Shane never came across as interested in the creative side (a shame, as he seems to have a handle on reality) and was always more business motivated. While this is shocking, of all the McMahons I feel like Shane was always the most likely to leave if anyone ever did. Given that it comes so soon after Linda's departure I can understand the rumour-monguring, but it's likely something that has been on the cards for a while and I look forward to seeing where Shane heads now.

Re: Shane McMahon Quits WWE

It's not really a big deal to be honest. If reports were true Shane's actual position was not one where he'd be involved in the creative direction of the product. Nor was he apparently being groomed to take over Vince's position when Vince dies at the age of 400.

Through whatever means, Shane likely has enough money to just chill with his family for the rest of his life. If he's not passionate about what he was doing in the WWE then there was very little point in him staying, McMahon or not.

The only way this would be big news is if Shane ended up involving himself in a non-WWE wrestling endeavour. But for whatever reason I don't see that happening considering that if Shane wanted some sort of creative power over a wrestling product he could have easily had it in some capacity in the WWE.

Just really how they hated each other so much. They would disagree on pretty much everything and even when Heyman tried to remain civil about it Steph would lose her shit and go off on one.

yeah, because you were there and Heyman tends to be a very civil person. Nice balanced story.

They just never agreed on anything and I doubt any of them were civil. Also, Heyman got fired, because he was caught listening on phone calls that were private. Or so how that was reported. Considering that reporters love Heyman, sounds true.

If you read my earlier post, I am just saying what has been documented and why it is no surprise. I am not even going to defend Heyman.

Can this actually happen? I just dont get it. Shane Mcmahon has to hand i n resignation?
WWE is a publicly traded company, so yes, he has to hand in, and announce his resignation as a VP. I imagine he is also a board member.
