This is a discussion on Judgment Day possibly being re-named within the Wrestling News & Rumors forums, part of the Wrestling Forums category; He tried it with The Great American Bash... And then renamed it The Bash.
The only one I'll accept is ...

All of the suggestions for a PPV name are shit even War Games (but between the three it is the better one). How many fucking themed PPVs do they want!!! concentrate on the fucking storylines!!!
Multimania is a shit name, but it won't win a poll option so it doesn't matter. If it's down to a poll then War Games will come out on top.
Elimination Chamber? Hell In A Cell? Both shit. Both won polls. Do not underestimate the stupidity of small children with internet access. If only we were as organised as certain other, less wholesome areas of the internet maybe we could flood YouTube with Miley Cyrus porn to. At the same time, Hell In A Cell & Elimination Chamber were obviously going to be the winners. Both were the best of a bad bunch, from what I can recall. Just like War Games appears to be. I think it's only the T.L.C. show where a lack of sanity has been truly obvious.

I wonder why the hell they think renaming all these pay-per-views is a good idea. People don't want something "new" they want the old Judgement Day. All the name changes have made me confused on what is coming up. The fact they had the same name for the pay-per-views made me feel like the seasons of the WWE. You enjoy certain seasons more than others, but with all these name changes I'm thoroughly confused.

The Elimination Chamber poll included No Way Out as far as I was aware... The T.L.C. bullshit I'm actually completely unaware of because I stopped caring around the time D-X reformed and stopped watching for a while. I've pretty much just got back into wrestling on any level and that's literally to catch the occasional SmackDown episode, and the others when I'm not busy doing something else infinitely more fun and productive... Like sleeping.

A WWE executive said a couple of months ago that they are renaming the PPV's because they want them to reflect ongoing storylines and what the focus of the event is.
Technically, none of these are new "names". They are entirely new events. Bragging Rights is not the same event as Taboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday. It's a brand new event with its own history. So far this year, only Extreme Rules and The Bash are events that kept their history and were re-named only. Breaking Point, Hell in a Cell, and Bragging Rights are brand new events that do not share the lineage of and previous PPV (TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs is unknown at this point whether it is just a new name for Armageddon or if it's a new event).
To whoever said it earlier, "Rage in a Cage" was actually one of the names WWE was considering for the Hell in a Cell event.

As much as the re-introduction to War Games will be historic, this is not the era of wrestling to do it, considering since it wasn't his idea anyway and few people on the staff know how to produce it or book it
