WWE Developmental Releases; Two TNA Releases?

Sounds like Cornette and Russo were butting heads and one of them had to go. TNA chose Russo. Wow.

Too bad about Cornette. He is a very smart man and could have done good things. But I saw this coming since they took him out of his authority figure role. I have no idea, but did he have any other roles in TNA? Talent scout? Road agent?

The only thing I read was that he was helping out on the creative team.

Cornette was acting as a road agent more than anything. He did very little on the creative side of things but had recently started to get involved with the production side.

I guess its that time again lol. Every few months we see feds cut some talent lose for cost reasons or just to clean house, point is we have come to expect this as it is a regulat happening.

None of these WWE releases are a big deal since they are just FCW wrestlers. The interesting once are when WWE goes through and releases a bunch of main wrestlers once or twice a year. July 2008 saw the release of Ric Flair, Braden Walker, Nunzio, James Curtis, Shannon Moore, Domino, Big Daddy V, Nick Patrick, Cherry, Colin Delaney, The Highlanders, and Wes Adams (a referee). July 2005 saw Mark Jindrak, Maven, Shannon Moore. Akio, Gangrel, Billy Kidman, Spike Dudley, Mordecai, Joy Giovanni, Kenzo Suzuki, Matt Morgan, Charlie Haas, Miss Jackie, Marty Janetty, Dawn Marie, Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley.

A few concerned co-workers went to management to voice their displeasure over their belief that Cornette had been acting unprofessionally. Apparently, this was "his latest refusal to be a pro," so the organization decided to release him from his contract.

Similarly, Cornette was released by World Wrestling Entertainment in July 2005 after slapping current WWE star Santino Marella for breaking character and laughing at The Boogeyman during a live Ohio Valley Wrestling show.

"This wasn't politics or anything to do with Jeff. It was purely a decision prompted by the same behaviour that got Jim fired in WWE," the source said.

Anyone else think Anger Management should be Cornette's next stop?
