Mitsuharu Misawa R.I.P

This is a discussion on Mitsuharu Misawa R.I.P within the Wrestling News & Rumors forums, part of the Wrestling Forums category; Apparently the site that was reporting it is pretty unreliable, so I wouldn't read much into it, thankfully....

God, I hope that's not true. The guy has enough to contend with, without fans blaming the whole thing on him when it was clearly not his fault.

    Surprised these weren't posted yet.

Man. Kobashi, Kawada and Saito look devastated.

Some notes on Misawa's funeral, which was held at Hosenji temple in Nakano-ku, Tokyo.

-- 200 people showed up, which was twice the number expected.
-- Misawa's elder brother helped lighten the mood by holding Misawa's funeral picture with a big smile on his face
-- Many people commented on the picture they chose, which was a shot of a grinning Misawa in a racing uniform
-- Misawa's wife, Mayumi, was supposed to greet and thank the guests, but was too upset, so his daughter Kaede thanked people for coming and for the kindness they showed her father throughout his life
-- Misawa's new Buddhist name is Shukujihara (something like that)
-- 9 wrestlers and associates of Misawa served as pallbearers
-- Akiyama, Kobashi and Taue were said to be visibily shaken after placing his coffin in the hearse
-- After the cremation, the family left with Mayumi carrying his memorial tablet, his daughter carrying his funeral photo and his son carrying the ashes
