If they did change the name then it's obviously because of the name only appealing to americans or a case of them feeling stupid because of the fact they mean USA but are saying american (which is both North & South America)
But you'd think they'd come up with a better name than 'The Bash', why not just throw it out and come up witha new name? or use a name that was used in the past but hasn't been used this year?
'The Bash' as a name makes me doubt this rumour being true.
Calling it The Great American Bash is better because it brings back that feeling of nostalgia when wrestling WAS wrestling and not a showcase for your talents in acting then go to Hollywood. changing the name to The Bash is pathetic and boring. In my mind if they were to have the name change it wouldn't be beneficial to WWE.
Either don't change the name at all, or change it completely. They could have even lifted an old WCW name if need be. Bash At The Beach, or Starcade, or whatever.
