Besides, I think the punt was introduced to make Randy Orton just look dangerous, not to make his rivals weak, because they need to be pushed as strong (such as Triple H, who would win the title after WM 24)

It's confusing to explain.
Being injured because of a punt doesn't make anyone look weak. All it does it make the punt look like an ultra dangerous move. With all of the people Orton took out with the move (Especially Michaels in 2007), it makes people who sells it properly (For an extended amount of time) look weak when Triple H or others return so quickly.

I thought HHH would have been out for at least another month just to relax and sell the punt kick from Orton. I think Mysterio's injury was a little obvious as he hasn't been in matches for a while just on the side. It won't be long before he is back in action and flying about the ring.
