Full Impact Pro in Florida announced that top ROH star Tyler Black, who has been on the cusp of an ROH title reign for some time, canceled out of this weekend's scheduled events where he was to defend the FIP title due to a neck injury suffered last night in Berwyn, IL working for AAW.

This really isn't good news at all for ROH. I just hope it isn't anything serious to the extent where he will need surgery like Hernandez.

Damn that sucks. Hopefully, as you said, it's not something that will require surgery. I also hope that he doesn't rush it and return too soon, as we've seen what happens to wrestlers that do that and they have to deal with it for the rest of their careers.
This does lead the door open for someone else to get a push up into the main event scene though.

Shame, Tyler was just in the process of getting that huge push. Should be good storyline wise though. Danielson, once again, has fallen short of getting those ROH tag team titles.

As bad as it sucks for him, it could be a good thing booking-wise. Black's chase was seemingly never-ending and has been dragging forever. Hopefully when he returns it'll freshen things up.

This sucks just a bit. I've been out of the loop on ROH news for a year or so, but no matter what, people always went on at me about how good Black was. He's only just been on the ROH show to. Last week was him vs. Danielson in by far the best main event thus far on the show. Such a shame.
I expect when he gets back he'll be pushed much quicker though.

Nothing against Black, but I do hope he will be out for a bit so we can see someone else pushed hard. Kenny King is already getting the new push in FIP that looks like it could be huge for him.

--We don't have any more specifics on Tyler Black's injury from Friday night other than ROH officials don't believe the injury is serious and haven't heard officially if he'll be missing any shows.
It's good news, but I still think it's unlikely he'll be at next weekend's shows. A huge shame because he's in some really high profile matches, including his title shot. Maybe when he returns, he'll be using that MITB-ish contendership he has.
As for now, it's time for someone to step up and I really hope it's not Jay Briscoe. Davey's already making his way there quickly and after Roderick's efforts in his title match, I think it could be him.
