TNA Wrestling released Roxxi yesterday, according to several sources. As previously noted on PWInsider.com in our Elite section, Roxxi and Rhaka Khan had been serving a 60 days suspension following a backstage issue that became physical several weeks back at an Impact taping. I am told that in the midst of the suspension, the decision was made not to bring her back.
Roxxi, real name Nicole Raczynski, began wrestling in the New England area under the ring name Nikki Roxx and was brought into TNA in July 2007 as a second for BG and Kip James as "The Voodoo Queen" Roxxi Laveaux.
As the Knockouts division grew, she became something of an underdog in the division with fans getting behind her as she was having regular good matches with Gail Kim, The Beautiful People and Awesome Kong, among others.
The Laveaux surname was dropped after the 2008 Sacrifice PPV, where she lost a multi-woman bout where the final loser would have her head shaved. The loss of her hair actually increased her popularity with fans in the Orlando area due to the sympathy factor.
In more recent months, she was pushed as the hardcore Knockout, using weapons and cursing regularly. While she had not been in the top mix for the Knockouts title of late, she was easily in the top three babyfaces for that side of the division and still had strong fan support when the decision was made to let her go.
TNA quietly removed Roxxi's profile from their website this morning.
I liked Roxxi, and she was over with the fans. Having Sojouner Bolt and Rhaka Khan employed when they have zero talent and aren't over, and firing Roxxi who could hold her own in the ring and had the fan's approval is just moronic.
The Knockout's division has been on a downward spiral ever since Gail left.

Rhaka Khan yes.....No Talent whatso ever with her but Sojo does have quite a bit of talent that isn't pushed hardly enough or given more TV Time despite recently winning a Knockouts Title shot. Roxxi was pretty talented inside the ring with her Shimmer background but could never really make that much of a difference because she couldn't speak. Yes she looked different and had a bit of a new gimmick swearing and such but it never did anything for me because whenever she spoke it didn't sound very natural.

I enjoyed Roxxi as well. Although her losing her hair really wasn't worth it. I mean, I liked her much better as the "Voodoo Queen" then as the "hardcore" knockout. Hopefully she will get picked up by another company. Otherwise it is back off to Shimmer for her.

Sojouner Botch? Talented?
Her match at Destination X was a car crash, her contribution to Lockdown was barely noticable, and her number one contender match suffered as much from bad booking as it did the fact that Sojo doesn't know her arse from her face. She can't talk, can't wrestle, and can't draw heat from the crowd.
Comparably Roxxi is bloody Ric Flair.
I agree that when Roxxi spoke it felt forced, and the swearing gimmick was awful, but in ring and as far as the fans were concerned she delivered what was needed. Entertainment. Sojo does not.

It was a stupid decision to hold Roxxi off of TV. I blame Dixe Carter for that and a lot of things. Dixie.....gawd.
But yes, RaiZ is correct. The booking staff is having a hard time stabilizing the Knockout division, and trying everyone heel. Roxxi was a strong force in that division ability and drawing wise. I can't get over with half of these knockouts, but I enjoyed Roxxi. This is a bummer.
