The Miz says he wants to be a franchise player for the WWE, similar to John Cena, and he plans on starting his push by stealing the show at WrestleMania 25 along with John Morrison and the Colons. The teams are scheduled against each other in a rare tag title match on Sunday's PPV card.
"We want to have the best match, walk away with the unified tag team championship, and actually have people remember that match," Miz told buddytv.com in a recent interview.
Miz says they want fans to remember their tag title unification match as "an awesome match" after flying under the radar compared to Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels and the two World Title matches.
"They're talking about the main event matches. With the tag team match, they're talking about it but they're not hyping it as much as the main event matches," Miz said. "So we want to be the ones who say 'You know what? They may not hype it but after they see that match they're going to [say] that's the one that they remember.'"
Ironically, out of the four scheduled title matches at WrestleMania 25, PWTorch.com readers voted The Miz & Morrison vs. Colons as the second-best hyped match behind the Triple H vs. Randy Orton WWE Title match.
After The Miz & Morrison dominated tag team wrestling in 2008 for WWE, the match could be a chance for Miz to elevate his game with everyone in WWE watching closely. Miz says he doesn't settle for second place and won't stop pushing himself as a performer until he becomes the poster child for WWE.
"Right now, I think John Cena is the poster child for WWE and the person everybody wants to be. He's at the level you want to be," Miz said. "I want to be in everything WWE has to offer. 'Wow, that's the Miz. That's WWE's person they go to. He's the franchise.' I won't stop until I get to that level."

I am honestly hoping that this happens. I think that, like Miz has been doing if he continues to push himself he could be a poster child. I know many prefer Morrison over Miz, but I think Miz has all the essentials to be a future top player.

The Miz isn't anything special. He will never be a main eventer. He will either stay in the mid-card or tag team division. He has charisma, but I really don't see him as a leader.

Fixed your article, it had a whole lotta hyper links in there.
Anyway, I really wouldn't be able to take Miz very seriously if he were at the top level. I like him and all, but I just wouldn't find myself buying a ppv if he was in the main event.

I have to agree with The Miz. He reminds me of Christian where as John Morrison reminds me of Edge. So I like them both, and I think both will recieve a load of success. I, however, think that The Miz's will come a later date than Morrison's. I do think he'll be a World Champion one day, though.

Well of course the Miz wants to be at Cena's level. Practically everyone does. I've felt for a long time that Miz has a bright future ahead of himself. I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that Miz is James Storm while Morrison is Chris Harris. Sure, everyone right now may think Morrison is going to be the star, but give it time and Miz will prove to be the true star of the team.

This was my first thought as well. Why would any not want to reach where Cena has? Who is going to put in the work it takes to become a professional wrestler and make the E, yet not want to hit the heights of stardom, be the face of the company, all of that? Would anyone really come out and say that they really don't want anything more than career midcard status? I mean, there's really nothing wrong with guys who do top out there, or even stay at the opening level, but to proclaim that?

Morrison can't even get his own heat, yet he's the Shawn of the team?
Yes. Is my characterization any more odd than the previous one comparing him to Edge? Or is there just something magnetic about me that draws Mods to me like moths to a flame?
