Plus as I said before, while he may not be better Taker has always been my personal favorite so he gets my vote two time.

Taker is Mr. Inconsistent. While he has improved after the mid point of the decade, he had a lot of poor matches. While he is pretty good, Michaels best matches are typically overrated a lot. Benoit not have the last few years, but he has probably wrestled roughly the same amount of time as the other two if you factor in injuries and down time. Benoit has been able to get good matches from horrible wrestlers and almost always delivered a positive on a show.

Between Michaels and Taker, I would of probably vote for Michaels. Taker didn't really do anything of value in 2000-2001. So it's just 2002-2009. Michaels had four quality matches in 2002 while Taker was a mixed bag. Michaels put on a few good matches in 2003 while Taker didn't really do anything. Michaels thanks to Benoit had some great matches in 2004 while Taker didn't. I'd say Taker did more good than Michaels in 2005, despite Michaels overrated matches that year. Both guys suffered in 2006. Michaels had a fairly good 2007, but Taker carried Batista that year, so I'd say he was better. 2008, both did well with their long feuds, but I'd probably give the very slight advantage to Michaels. 2009 is still a question mark for both guys though.

My opinion may change depending on how good the matches with Taker and Punk are though.

I'd put Taker over Michaels personally.

Taker had better matches with a lot of guys who they both faced, plus he is no where near as formulaic and is inifinately more versatile. Plus he hasn't had as much bad stuff either. Better on the mat, better brawler, better bumper, better seller, better at getting guys over... I can go on.
