Rock was great for 3 years. The matches with HHH, Benoit, Angle, Austin and aothers are amongst some of the best matches this decade. Rock vs HHH was better than HHH vs Edge, Rock vs Benoit was better than Benoit vs Edge, Rock vs Angle was better than Angle vs Edge, and so on. Rock also had a good input as far as putting guys over too.
Edge is mostly garbage and the vast majority of his good matches are either A. hardcore stuff like the Foley match or B. laughably overated. The last Edge match that was actually any good was the Taker match at Wrestlemania and that was mostly Undertaker. Edge was mosty shitty in a tag team, the TLCs were garbage spotfests. Most of his work since 2005 has been actively bad.
Rock was a better seller, better on offence, a better bumper, a smarter worker, more charismatic, more versatile in the ring, a better brawler, and so on. The only thing you could argue Edge as being better as is at hardcore matches and even then I would disagree because of the amount of shitty or overated hardcore matches he has had.

In all seriousness, what has Edge done this decade that compares to these matches? Just because Edge has been around longer doesn't mean he's been better. He's had SOME great matches but not as many as Rock.

Struggling to think of many good Edge matches where Edge was the driving force behind them being good...
Same when you put it like that, but it's not always that simple. He has more than pulled his weight in many very good-great matches and as I always say, it takes two to have a great match. That said, it's really irrelevant because he's had very few great matches anyway, and Rock had more despite only being around a few years.

Well yeah but my point was I can't recall too many stand-out Edge performances.
Although you said it was mostly Taker, I'd say the Wrestlemania match would qualify. I thought both men were great in that. You definitely have a point though. Edge is decent in the ring and can be very good in certain situations, such as hardcore matches and TLC spotfests, but he is never going to be a wrestler who consistantly puts on standout matches. He's just not in that league. Compare that to Rock 2000-2002 and... well yeah.

I like Edge. I probably would have voted for him here if it weren't against a guy like Rock. But I think Rock did more in his few short years in this decade than Edge has the entirety of this decade.
