Eddie also had some fun matches in ROH and IWA:MS during that absense. Nothing blowaway great or anything, though his match with Punk was pretty good IIRC.
If this isn't in the Platinum section yet can someone make it be please. I'll go looking for it later, but I've never seen it and I would very much love to.
The guy still had a pretty poor (In ring wise) first half of his WWE career.
I'd say his first WWE run was mired by the fact that he broke his arm in a freak accident in his very first match for the company. His recover and his resultant pain killer addiction very likely affected any chance he had to create anything truely memorablewith what he was given to work with. As much as I'd love to defend Eddie to the hilt, I'd say that even if her were given something to work with during that time, it would likely have been average at best.
All that said, I'm going with Eddie because it even's it out. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Close match up.

His matches were pretty poor. Whether he gets the chance to be in a good match or not, his matches were pretty poor especially when you compare them to what he's capable of.
And of course the Rock could have been stuck in those matches, but this tournament isn't about booking. It's about who flat out had the better decade. Maybe Eddie was hindered because of poor booking, but it doesn't change the fact that Rock easily had better years in 2000 and 2001.
I don't believe I've said otherwise. My point was that he was never bad and to act like he is responsible for his first WWE run being forgettable is ridiculous.
Pointless arguement though, as I just voted for The Rock. >_>

This has been neck and neck the whole way... I reckon you just carry them both over into the next round Steve. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
