Christopher Daniels. They guy never ceases to amaze me. Believe me, Austin did well for the couple of years he was active in the decade, but it seems this was the decade we were introduced to Daniels' originality and unbelievable talent.

Really? I was expecting this to be a landslide.

Daniels was good when working with the likes of Ki, Joe and Styles in the X-Div, otherwise he's always been a bland kinda of guy who doesn't stand out from the rest of the X-Division chumps. On the indy scene he was never ever a top tier worker and more often than not was dissapointing, dull and spotty. The Sydal series is a perfect example of this; it was meant to be a student vs teacher series with Sydal slowly doing better, but instead they were a bunch of vanilla junior spotfests. Daniels is only really good for short-ish sprints, most of the time he has to wrestle a long period he is really bad: the broadway with Punk, the second Ironman with Styles, most of the tags with Sydal.

Austin was perhaps best in the world in 2001 and even in the three years he was active managed to outclass Daniels, who has only been sparodically great between '02-'06 in every way.

Austin wins, and I personally think Daniels is the weakest guy in the tourny after HHH.

Daniels has only really had a couple of great matches that I've seen, and his best are not comparable to Austin in 2001.
