Shawn by far. AJ had a few phenomenal matches but in my mind Shawn had AT LEAST 2-3 ***** in the last 7 years. And loads of other great matches.

God this is a tough one. Again I would say AJ suffers from TNA being so shit, and the fact that he's had maybe one great match since 2006. Shawn Michaels was gone until 2002 of course, but returned with a bang in an amazing match, and has added many more in the following years. Look at his Mania record, with his matches against Jericho, Angle, Flair, Undertaker, the triple threat, EVEN the match against Vince. He also seems to put on a hell of a match. I've seen some great Styles indy matches and he's done a lot of amazing stuff in TNA both in the very early days and in 2005-6, but I'm still going to go with Shawn Michaels because he really has been great since he returned to the company 7 years ago.

HBK, simply because he just can't have a bad match. I can remember one or two bad AJ matches.

I am a big fan of HBK, but come on, he's had plenty of baddens.

For a recent example, see his match with JBL at No Way Out.

I vote Styles and I think it's quite a comfy win for him. I will explain my vote.

Alot of big Michaels matches this decade are laughable. The fued with Hunter, outside the Summerslam return match, was pretty terrible. The 3 stages of Hell match was garbage: first fall has a bunch of limbwork that gets forgetten, second fall was just plain boring and had pointless interference, third fall was a terrible "forgotten tables" finish. The HIAC was perhaps the worst 50 minute match ever - nearly an hour of boring ego stroking with both men repeating their crappy tired spots and spending half the match laying around on the floor. Classic example of two guys not knowing their limitations. The LMS match was just bad. I think the Wrestlemania match with Ange isn't just overated but an actively crappy match where two guys showed up to hit their trademark spots and moves rather than to work a match. The Wrestlemania match with Jericho does not age well either and it is a good example of one guy trying his hardest to get the crowd to care whilest the other just does his day-to-day shit. I can go on, but my point is that as much as he has had some good matches this decade for sure, he's also had a lot of overated matches and a lot of crap.

Compare to Styles. I am a big fan of Styles's initial run on the indy circuit, during that time I have no problem saying he was definately on the same level as Ki, Danielson, London, Joe, etc and all ther other top tier workers at the time. His match with London is one of the best ROH matches I have ever seen. In TNA he has easily been the best worker in the company's history, in the early years, during their peak for quality in 2005, and even nowadays he is easily the best guy there and busts his ass off to get good matches out of terrible workers. The other day I saw him carry Matt fucking Morgan to a decent match. The steel cage match with Abyss is probably in TNA's top 10 matches of all time and it was pretty much a huge carry from Styles. Oh, and then Styles vs Joe from Unbreakable is also the best TNA match ever, and I would say it is better than any Michaels match this decade (or ever).

Styles is better on offence, a better seller, a better bumper, more adaptable, has better spots, is better on the mat and is more likable. From where I sit, Styles wins comfortably.

If this was All Time, it would easily be Michaels. For 2000-2009 though, A.J. Styles. Michaels is nowhere near as good as he used to be. Michaels has still been the better entertainer, by Styles has been the better wrestler (and this is Wrestler of the Decade[/i]).
